Police: Body, Ailing People Found Near Pest-Control TruckAuthorities in Florida are trying to figure out why a body was hidden in the back of a pesticide truck parked along an interstate in West Palm Beach. A father and his young son were found alive near the truck and suffering from exposure to a toxic chemical, police said. The case began to unfold early Monday, when authorities were notified that a pickup truck was stopped on the side of Interstate 95, not far from the Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard exit."We responded a little bit after 7 a.m., to what was reported to us as two occupants in a truck that had been exposed to some type of spilled chemical," Florida Highway Patrol spokesman Lt. Tim Frith told AOL News. The occupants who were found with the vehicle have been identified as George Barahona, 53, of Miami, and his 10-year-old adopted son, identified in local media reports as Victor Vocter. The two appeared to be dazed from fumes that were coming from the back of the truck, police said.
I'm thinking that they may not have had time to change their names to Muhammed yet.
Weirdness. I was kind of reminded of that pizza delivery guy with the bomb around his neck, who was killed by the detonation. I am not sure if that case was ever solved.
This has the prints of Rusty Shackleford all over it. It's a conspiracy, I'm tellin ya....
The pizza delivery guy with the bomb was Brian Wells. The case is solved, Marjorie Diehl-Armstrong, Kenneth Barnes, and Floyd Stockton were the ones involved. Diehl-Armstrong and Barnes were in prison when named suspects in 2007. Diehl-Armstrong was convicted in 2010 and sentenced to prison. Barnes was sentenced in 2008. Stockton got immunity in exchange for testimony.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Wells_(bank_robber)
Thanks, I am glad you aren't as lazy as me this evening.
Jorge Barahona, 53, is charged with felony aggravated child abuse for an alleged attack on his 10-year-old adopted son, identified in local media reports as Victor Vocter.According to a probable cause affidavit filed by West Palm Beach police, Barahona told officers he placed the body of his deceased daughter -- identified by local media as Victor's twin, Nubia -- in the back of his pest-control vehicle early Monday and then drove north on Interstate 95 from his home in Miami to West Palm Beach....A hazardous materials crew was called in to manage the cleanup of the truck. The crew was in the process of moving containers out of the vehicle when they found the young girl's body covered in acid and wrapped in a plastic bag, police said....The boy is suffering from severe burns to his abdomen, upper thighs and buttocks. During an examination, medical staff also discovered prior injuries, including a fractured clavicle, a fractured arm, scarring to his buttocks and lower abdomen, and ligature markings to both wrists, police said....The boy is being kept in a hyperbaric chamber. According to The Associated Press, he has stopped urinating and doctors are having a difficult time treating him because they do not know what kind of chemical agent caused his injuries.
Investigators: Sadistic Father Confesses to Trying to Kill Son With Toxic ChemicalsIt’s the kind of sadistic child abuse from which horror films are made. Adopted children, imprisoned in their bathtub, unable to escape because their father allegedly duct taped the shower curtain to the walls. One boy being burned with an acid or petroleum-type chemical, with previous evidence of torture all over his little body: a fractured clavicle and arm, scarring on his lower abdomen and buttocks and ligature marks on his wrists, implying that this 10 year old child had been tied up like an animal, straining to break free.Investigators in West Palm Beach, Fla., believe the two people responsible for this, and so much more, are the children’s adoptive parents, Jorge and Carmen Barahona.Circuit Judge Ted Booras ordered him held on a $1 million bond, saying the 53-year-old father of four adopted children is “not only a flight risk, but a danger to himself and a danger to the community.†For now, Barahona is charged with aggravated child abuse. Many more serious charges are expected.
MIAMI -- The 10-year-old boy found doused with toxic chemicals in his adoptive father's pest control truck on Valentine's Day has been released from the hospital.Authorities say Victor Barahona left Jackson Memorial Hospital on Tuesday and is staying in an undisclosed therapeutic foster home. An aunt and uncle from Texas, who previously attempted to adopt the twins, say they want to adopt the boy.
