Darnedest place I ever traveled through except the salt flats in Utah.
Desert at night in August, the Moon and stars look like they are only 100 feet over your head-- Amazing, the size of the moon out there.
Some places are much like being out to sea you can look as far as you can see 360 degree in all areas and see the curvature of the earth----
-----sort of.
I don't know really what I expected Texas to be like but every day after 10 hours on the road the landscape changed. That is one Mother of a state, HUGE.
Pick where you are going very carefully, Unlike up here , Texas is so large it would be like you trying to visit all of New England and New York in one or two weeks.
Do not be surprised if you decide to transfer stores to live in Texas, Wide open spaces gives meaning to Gods Country .
Hubby lived in Waco and LOVED it, He got an apartment on the campus of Baylor U. through the company he worked for and a couple years was transferred back north, I think he cried all the way home.
