Original message
So I cut the cable (never on Fios, never on satellite, not in my house) to Cablevision
and today a woman from their main offices called to ask me what my complaint was with the company. My response was simple, I've returned my equipment, satellite will be installed now that the ice and snow is off the building, you're too late.

Dead silence. 10 seconds later, the begging started. And then I said goodbye. They waited too long, they don't think people will cut the cable. They are condescending and mistreat their customers. 55 MILLION people who have satellite can't be wrong.

Arrogant ****s.

I have $20 that says it was the cable company who cut Dain; probably for non-payment of the bill.  The rest of the story, about the cable lady whining and pleading for Dain to come back, was probably the collection agent cussing the bastard out, etc.

The rest is just more :bouncy: bullshit.

No, DUmmy DainBramaged is polishing his DUmp cred. He's claiming to change from cable to satellite TV because his cable company doesn't carry GoreTV, and a proper DUmmy MUST be able to watch Keef and, hopefully, al-Jizz.

Isn't cable more reliable than the satellite TV? I heard when bad weather comes through, it affects the reception. I may be wrong.

That's what I understand.  When I lived in Wisconsin, we had a snow storm come through and my friend's satellite dish kept cutting out every few minutes or so.

I thought that was the case. Thanks EC.
Can't wait for the primitive to experience this and then bitch about the shitty reception. What a  :loser:.

The only time my satellite is interrupted is when it snows ass deep to a tall indian, which is every other day around here, but I installed heaters on my dishes so have not had an interruption in service yet this year.

Even before then, all I had to do was go out and sweep the snow off. Of course that can be a pain in the ass late at night, but that's why I installed the heaters.

It can lose signal during a particular heavy rain storm, but it usually just lasts for a few seconds, or minutes. Satellite not bein' as reliable as cable is a myth started by the cable companies. I have both TV satellite and Internet satellite. The number of interruptions I have had on both in 10 years I can count on both hands.

Well, if ya don't get off your dead ass and go clean the snow off, that happens! LOL!

We had Dish Network for over ten years, then a neighbors tree grew too tall.  We checked and the dish would have needed to be moved to the roof to insure a good signal for just a couple of years. It was easier to go back to cable. Also a bolt of lightning between the dish and the satellite can interrupt service for a few minutes.

I have had DirecTV now for years.  We will lose reception during a heavy storm, but usually not longer than a few minutes.

If he really went to Satellite for Current, he truly is a moron of epic proportions.  I tried watching Current a few times, the main problem with their programming is that they give microphones and cameras to morons.  Even if they had a point, it would get lost in inane commentary and sloppy camera work.  It's perfect for Keef.

Same experience here. I only have problems during heavy rainstorms.

Dain acts like people don't do this every day.

I checked the other day and Current is not even in HD.  Although with their programming, I think HD would only make it worse, not better.

I've had DirecTv forever.  Since 1998 or so, back when you used to have to pay for the boxes & installation.  How things have changed since then.  I installed it myself in the two-flat I was living in.  At the time, the future former Mrs. Wiggum thought I got the dish just for sports.  Within a month, she couldn't do without DirecTv.

Rainstorms are about the only time the reception goes out.  You can always tell when a storm is coming...the dish starts searching for a signal about a minute before a big downpour.

I tuned into Current once or twice out of curiousity.  This description is just as good as any for what I saw.

There is a moonbat, "Random Thoughts", over there who for the past week or so has inserted "I am due beer and travel money" into every post, regardless the subject.

HA- Miskie started a thread on hearts. There are some good ones over there.  :rotf:

GOBUCKS explained about beer and travel money already, so I'll just add what I know. Random Thoughts is a big kook over there who always mentions it. I think I read where he isn't literally owed that, but I can't ever make out what he's talking about.

That explains it.  I simply cannot read Random Thoughts.  My jaw goes slack, and brains leak out of my ears.  It's a mess.  So, I ignore him completely.  Sounds funny, though.

Many of the campfires he starts, he get his panties in a knot and huffs and puffs, takes his ball and goes home.

I really wish I could open up dialog to the damaged one but all he gets is "Message blocked" when I try and communicate with him.
