Here's another thing we can learn.... many of the tweets kept repeating that it was important to remeber those in poverty, and keep working to better their situations.

Yet, USians, including "progressives" are busy and hard at work CUTTING already inadequate aid to poor people right here.

This person is pathetic!!! There are many people who are having a hard time making ends meet!!
Instead of saying"woe is me", get off your behind and do something about it. Nobody is going to do it for you!!!!
I may not have the best job in the world, or live in a 5 bedroom mansion, but I get up everyday and either go to work or do something constructive with my day!!!
It is hard to dredge up sympathy for this person!!!

Oh, words can't begin to describe her FUBAR level.  Buried in the history of Bobo the Hobo is a tale of her actually having an apparently-acceptable (To an ordinary human) place provided to her, but she found it insufficiently-palatial for her needs...not unsafe, unsanitary, or anything of the sort, it just wasn't 'Enough.'  I suspect part of her reason for walking away from it was that it would have reduced her cash flow, since the quarters would have either been furnished in-kind and her dole reduced accordingly, or the rent deducted from whatever overly-generous public assistance she receives, which could in turn have cut into her ability to pay her iPhone bill.

She really does tend to mess it up for people who really do need some help. Not the ones who just want to bitch about things all day, but people who no fault of their own are in a bind, who really do need some of the services she constantly complains are "not enough".
The reason she got kicked out of the section 8 housing is she bitched to much, tried to get people riled up. section 8 housing isn't always pleasant to live in, but it is a roof over your head, and a somewhat safe place to sleep and shower.
I know of someone right now who would be very happy to have that.

Not to put too fine a point on it but aside from the moles there are few souls at DU that do not believe and openly proclaim that they are entitled to the necessities of life.
Food,shelter,health care...everything should be provided free of charge.

I think  "USian" may be a cool democrat term for letting us know the contempt they have for their country, like how they often spell America with a "k".  But the biggest news from the hobo in this post is that we can now folow her exploits on Twitter. Yep.  When I went back to college, I had 3 kids, a SS Survivor's check from my ex-husband's death, and a 10x30 trailer.  The guy I dated in college had a Section 8 house, food stamps, medical, heating assistance, Aid to Dependent Children...and a some 5th program.  I would have given about anything to qualify for a nice house like that, and government-paid medical!!   :bawl: :bawl:
