I've said it before, I'll say it again: The "shared sacrifice" bit is such shit.

It makes me furious when I hear sanctimonious assholes piously mouthing that shit as they bow to the wealthy and corporate interests. "We all have give up some of our "pet" spending. It's a vile lie. It's meant to deceive. It's the worst kind of cynicism.

1. We've given more than our fair share of sacrifice...

How about the rich do theirs too?

I have already given up my career, my life savings, my health insurance, the hope of ever having a decent job again, I'm about to give up my house, and I've given at least ten years off of my life from all the damn stress. What the **** else do they want me to give?

49. BINGO! I've also said this same thing before..............

Why does everybody have to sacrifice in the name of "austerity" EXCEPT for the rich?

We bailed them out DIRECTLY to the tune of something like .75 of a trillion tax dollars. THEN spent ANOTHER .75 trillion dollars to TRY and fix their mess. That 1.5 TRILLION tax dollars we've spent on or because of these ****ers in 2 years. Yet now when it's time to start paying for it, they're nowhere to be seen. It's disgusting.

6. The working poor cannot afford the time off

without getting fired, and the poor don't have the means to get there and stay there for any sustained protest. They're trying to stay alive in their hovels.
Now the middle class might have time off, but they worry about parking and the crowds - and missing their TV shows.

Lead the Homeless Persons Strike , bobo. Stop showing up on street and stop begging for change, that'll show them.

Err....bobo, I hate to break this to you, but the "rich" don't depend on government handouts.  Cutting the budget won't effect them.......ever.

Should you and your fellow travelers attempt to confiscate their wealth, they will simply move their yachts elsewhere, like your hero John Kerry did......

Lurch swore he would pay the Massachusetts taxes anyway, as soon as his Rhode Island dodge was revealed. Never heard whether he did or not. I suspect he'll pay up right after he releases his discharge papers.

For the smarterest people on the internetsâ„¢they sure have a naive concept of wealth.

They seem to think that all the "rich" people just keep all their money in a big pile ala Scrooge McDuck and don't use it on investment in money making ventures thereby creating the jobs that these dummies won't do.

They truly seem to believe that at birth we are all granted a room full of wealth somewhere and the fact that they haven`t found theirs means someone has stolen it from them.

This is what I don't get. I haven't had health insurance since I left the military back in 2003. I haven't had anything serious happen and my family Doctor lets me pay as I can.  We all know that the poor have their medical and sometimes their food and utilities paid for by the taxpayers so why has anyone on DU ,especailly Bobo the hobo got to bitch about? There are people with families in the military that have it just as hard but we don't hear about how the DUmp wants to help them get by. Most of what we hear from them is alot of ME,ME ,ME bullshit. AW, ya wanna know why this is the case?  Military people tend to have the notion of serving others down pat.  The DUmmies want to be served, by everyone.  They think that, due to the very fact that they're here on God's Green Earth, they're entitled to the fruits of the sweat of other people's brows.

Military people realize that we are the ones that have to sweat, so we should be the ones to get the benefits of that exertion.

As far as 'Shared sacrifice' goes, I'll believe it when the Dems put the stability of the country's finances above their interest in the entitlement class all voting Dem by enacting a tax system where everyone who is employed contributes something, however small, and nobody collects back more from the tax system than they put into it.

Durin' my first operation on my back, there was a guy that was admitted the day after my surgery. Apparently, he and his buds, after drainin' most of a keg, started playin' "All Star Wrestling" on the porch. He got slammed over the rail and landed on his neck, spiral fracturing a vertebrae. They had to outfit this drunk with a "Halo". You know, one of those metal bands that have screws runnin' in to yer skull in 4 places?

Turns out, the guy didn't have a pot to piss in, so the first people in his room, even before his relatives, were folks from the Welfare Department, figurin' out what programs he was eligible for.

I had Blue Cross at the time, and walked out with right around a $3500 bill, while he walked away without owin' a damn dime!

Tell me again Bobo the Hobo, how y'all have it so rough!

His surgery cost 3 times what mine did!  I had to pay my deductibles! Now seein' as he caused this himself through absolute stooooopidity, why should I and others like me, have to pay for his drunkin' ignorance?

I'm sure you'll just tell me since I could afford insurance I should pay for some drunk muther****er to have fun, even if he gets hurt doin' so, right?

FOAD!!!!!!!!!!!! save me some money!!!!
