So far, just by random chance and luck, I've avoided the $4.00-per-gallon threshhold, but I doubt the luck's going to hold much longer.
Regular gasoline (no ethanol) went over the $4.00 mark last week, $4.01 (the ethanol blend a dime a gallon cheaper, but I don't use that), but it just so happened that at the time any particular motor vehicle I was using (which could be one of several, none of them mine), the price had dipped down, temporarily, to $3.99 or $3.97 per gallon (and then went back up shortly thereafter).
So I'm still a virgin when it comes to paying four bucks for a gallon, but quite obviously the time's a-comin'.
