There's ONE in West Covina charging $4.79/gal, but it's an outlier.  Most are in the $4.10-4.20 range, with some as low as $3.90.  Still way too high, but nowhere near $5/gal.

I have to buy 93 octane for the MG.  Thank God it only has a ten gallon tank.

Gasbuddy.com is still the best app.

And some Chicago area places are approaching $4.30-4.40/gallon.

Hopey changey, kids!

Bottom range for Regular & Premium has risen a couple pennies in the last few days while top range remained the same. Diesel fuel has gone up 7 cents/gal.
It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

Filled up the truck this morning, bought a cartoon of cheap cigarettes, a cup of plain coffee and I ain't even got baloney sandwich money left from a $100 bill.

Gas $3.28/9 for the cheapest grade.

Look at the bright side--had I got the F-150 I was looking at earlier this year, it would have taken TWO of those $100 bills to fill up, since they have a 36-gallon tank.

Oh, and a carton of smokes up here goes for $55.

I'll ship you a truck load and we'll split the profit.

Might have a little problem under cutting the muslims though.

what do you guys think of this response for saving us from choking gas prices?

cross posted from my blog: thehackreport.blogspot.com

Guess what guys? I have a proposed solution!! Lets re-start the oil production and extraction industry off our shores, lets kick-start oil and gas extraction across the nation! Why are we not drilling for oil in Alaska? That hippie argument about some musk-ox migration trails has just about run its course. More importantly, why is our president so anti-energy? There are so many jobs out there just waiting....

Can we please consider drilling for oil in Anwar? Can we at least open the discussion about getting rid of harmful and pointless regulations over offshore drilling? Accidents happen, processes are improved. We need jobs!
Nobody seems to realize that this would create hundreds of thousands, if not millions of high-paying private sector jobs, lower gas prices, and increase our national security! Its a 3-fer, a tripply whammy!

If we completely get rid of (Obama's) moritoriums over offshore drilling, start drilling in Alaska (carefully!) and open up the gas fracking and extraction industry nation-wide (again, focus on safety and environmental concern) we will SOAR out of recession! Not only will we gain millions of high-paying jobs, but landowners will benefit from natural gas extraction revenues, and EVERY SINGE PERSON will see a significant gain in their real income, due to the fall in gas prices!

There are very few negatives compared to the benefits to this in the slightest! As long as we ensure that these operations are conducted with utmost environmental caution (It will be so crazilly profitable, these oil companies will be able to afford many redundant safeguards), this is as close to a victimless, perfect, solution to all our problems.

I think this needs to be opened for discussion. This is how to stimulate an economy, not government spending
