It had been dropped once and reopened by September 1. Wikileaks' biggest leaks - Iraq War Log and "Cablegate" - took place in October and late November.

Although yes, one might imagine it could've been in response to earlier leaks or in anticipation.

For whatever reason the charges are brought, are you comfortable that if this had happened to you or someone close to you you'd think it was acceptable behavior?

We don't the whole story, and it's possible this is largely untrue, but if the police get a complaint like this, should they ignore it just because the guy is famous and caught up in other controversies?

This makes me sick to say but the last DUmmy was right.  It wasn't rape in the sense that she said no, it was considered rape because he didn't use a condom.  It is some weird ass law that can have someone arrested and tried for rape because they don't use a condom.  She did consent to sex, it was the part where he didn't use a rubber that pissed her off.

But if wearing a condom was part of her consent, then not wearing one invalidates that consent.  Not much different than a case in California, IIRC, where a woman had consented, then in the middle of the act said no.  The guy was convicted because he finished.

Look, gang, when I was in college, I was banging this chick and in the middle of the act she heard a song on her stereo that made her start crying, and she asked me to stop.  I did, because I felt that at that moment, she had withdrawn her consent.  Really pissed me off at the time, but I didn't let it show--or hold it against her.  No, I never got with her again, because I didn't get the chance.

So, Assange raped the girl, based on the laws there.  But if he had continued when she had asked him to stop, it would be rape, too.

She consented to sex with a condom the night before.  The next morning he helped himself to more without a condom.  I don't see consent there.

Nah, under US law I have seen a guy prosecuted for rape for impersonating someone else, so the girl actually did consent to sex, but not with the guy that really did her; this is the same kind of deception, but actually with more serious consequences given the chance of pregnancy or a persistent/fatal STD.

I wonder what ever happend to the woman that had sex with  identical twins, became pregnant and the DNA showed both men were the baby's father.  The court ruled both were the legal father and had to support the child.

The Man who was very wealthy and getting on in years hired a high price hooker working her way through medical school.  He used a condom but threw it in the trash can.  The woman retrieved the used condom and did the turkey baster trick and when he died she jumped in for half his estate for the resulting child who was now 10 years old.

Known fact of life, with men, unless the bed catches fire or his wife, or her husband walks in, getting a male to stop mid-stroke is not as easy as woman think it is.  Good grief, men are sex machines with no off button even when they sleep.

It is considered rape in this country if a Doctor in a fertility clinic substitutes the woman's choice of sperm for his own.

 Nightmare for Norfork Va'.s  40  woman when they found out that their children some twins or triplets all have the Doctors DNA and not the husbands or the selected mans.

Unfortunately most of these woman all lived in the city and in a few years a good number of these kids would be going to school together.    How to tell your kids they cannot date someone until a DNA test is done??? 

Is it rape if a John stiffs a hooker??

Is it male rape if a Gold Digger takes money from a male she has aroused for sex.???

So many ways to look at rape, mental and physical.  Was it rape when the father of two daughters made them 6-8 years old watch porno flicks with him.??
