Reagan left office in January, 1989. Like FDR, his policies have impacted the United States and the world
ever since. Each and every election since he has left office, the Democrats run against his policies and more importantly, his beliefs. The Republicans seek his widow's blessing. They anoint themselves of being in the Reagan mold. Sadly, both parties are lacking the strength and character of President Reagan.
The Left fear Reagan rightly so. He was born of the FDR influence and embraced it. But like all true people of reason and actual intelligence, Reagan grew up. President Reagan would be the first to tell you he was a flawed man, after all he is human. Yet Reagan was an honest and loving man who chose to serve his Country in the best way he knew how. He educated himself in subjects foreign to world and chose to get to know America from it's own people.
People are entitled to have their own opinions of each Administration, both successes and failures. History has proven time and time again that Reagan, as President, has withstood the test of time. His
four successors pale beside him. We may never see the likes of Reagan again, but I do know that the world is better because of him....and that is why he is so reviled by the Left. They cannot stand that his
beliefs and his morals do stand the test of time, again and again and again.
