Big Obama donor quits envoy job amid criticism

According to an internal State Department report released Thursday, less than a week after she quit, Stroum's management of the U.S. Embassy in the tiny country was abysmal. The report says her tenure of about one year was fraught with personality conflicts, verbal abuse and questionable expenditures on travel, wine and liquor.
Associated Press

Not surprised at all, but it's nice to be able to point and laugh.  I wonder how much more of this stuff is going on in other parts of this Administration.

. It said at least four staffers quit or sought transfers to Iraq and Afghanistan during her tenure, unusual steps for diplomats assigned to a modern, Western European capital.
When you want to be transfered  to Iraq or Afghanistan you know it was bad?!

An Obama bundler picked for a choice ambassadorship brought the U.S. embassy she led to “a state of dysfunction” in a year on the job, a State Department probe has found.

Cynthia Stroum, who last month left her post as U.S. ambassador to Luxembourg, was “aggressive, bullying, hostile and intimidating,” the department’s inspector general said in a report released Thursday. The embassy and its staff face myriad problems, including “the absence of a sense of direction,” which has “brought major elements of Embassy Luxembourg to a state of dysfunction.”

Luxembourg, Luxembourg ?  Seriously? How incompetent do you have to be to fail as ambassador to a country like that?  :loser:

This whole damn administration, from top to bottom, has an extremely over blown feeling of self worth and entitlement. I hope she winds up staying with BoBolink....she's homeless, you know.

I remember the stink that was raised when she got the job.  "She has no diplomatic experience."  "She's not qualified."

Looks like someone got proven right.

Nothing new under the sun.  Remember "Papa Joe" Kennedy?  Seems he got an even juicier plum when he was Ambassador to Great Britain back in the day.  Nevermind he was totally unqualified as well.  Only after he publicly supported Hitler was FDR forced to recall him, but hey, shit happens, right?

Little known fact to the dump monkeys btw.  Old Joe Kennedy was in fact what they try to say Prescott Bush was.  They confuse that all the time over there.

Makes one wonder what he taught his sons and how he felt when his eldest son and heir died in that war, oops time to change sides here.

Must have made the dinner table conversation 20 years later  most interesting.

Limburger was a fan of Hitler also, as were most of our big financial folks but they were smart enough not to publicise it.

Crazy history, no one knows what they may uncover with the internet about those that we thought were heros.

I'm new here. Just reading around a bit and I cannot help but notice the vast number of trolls here masquerading as sentient beings  :mental: I find that endlessly humorous.

Ya, I recall when that woman got appointed to be the Ambassador to Luxembourg. I figured it would end badly but I had something like a major diplomatic embarrassment in mind like perhaps getting caught with Jacques Chirac in his black socks.

Joe Kennedy was a businessman and anti-Semite who hated Jews.

Even lower....a bootlegger.

Surprisingly enough, I learned that in high school. Our Civics/American History teacher covered that little tidbit of information.
