Unfazed by the stony silence emanating from the Majority Leader -- and apparently not at all bothered by the unamused look on the face of the plainclothes Capitol Police officer shadowing the Majority Leader -- the persistent questioner was not yet ready to withdraw.

We'll soon know if Reid posts at the DUmp. There will be a bouncy about being attacked by a reich-winger in the grocery store.  :thatsright: Those stories happen to all of them. Never mind.  :lmao:

This is why the left is on such a rampage to discredit anyone from tea partiers to Palin, they're not used to us standing up for ourselves and holding feet to the fire, they thought their descriptions such as racist etc. would force us to back-down, we won't and that fact scares the heck out of them.

from the article cited in the OP:

Quote
Exiting the establishment as soon as practical, Sen. Reid, with more of his security detail now in evidence, hopped aboard one of two waiting black SUV's.
The mini-convoy pulled away from the curb and out of the parking lot, out of reach, for now, of interaction with pesky opinionated partisans.

This turd doesn't have the balls to address his employers (the Tax payers in the store), then flees the scene in his tax-payer funded fleet of SUV's.

:rotf:

Unfortunately, he was shopping at a store in Virginia.  Whatever store he was at, doesn't sound like my type of store to shop in.  He needs to show up at a Smith's or Albertson's.  You bet my loud mouth would be calling him out -- over the loud speaker for the store.

This can be down right annoying when it happens to anyone.

Here we have an old fart whose wife gave him a shopping list----or perhaps he had a date that night and wanted to surprise her---Any way this dude with an escort of security and drivers decides to do the shopping himself as he has not shopped for food himself in 30+ years.

As he ambles through the store with security in tow amazed that a loaf of bread is now over a dollar, the nickle candy bar is now 2 for $3.00, along comes someone that wants to take his time to ask questions.  Good Grief, this man needs to find this food for one thing, then go glassy eyed at the price.

Ever have that happen to you, you have your list and along comes a neighbor or coworker that get you so distracted and held up that you forget to get everything on the list.?    Now, if this is a perfect stranger that keeps yammering in your ear, expecting you to pay full attention to them for what ever reason and after you tell them to excuse you as you have to finish your private business and the stranger begins to holler, yell and point at you--------What would you do??

This wasn't a perfect stranger asking him a question.  It was one of his many bosses asking him a question about his job that he wanted so bad he ran for it and has no problem taking payment and all the perks from.  Did you notice in the story where it mentions his security force and where it says he was whisked away from the story in a fleet of black SUV's?  those were paid for in part by this
perfect stranger" as you refer to him as.  As long as he uses services provided by the tax payers (even if it is to run down to the corner store), he is answerable to us.  Remember, we don't work for him, he works for us.

Remember, we don't work for him, he works for us.

I seriously doubt that thought ever crosses his tiny power hungry, marxist mind.

This is Prince Harry, doncha know.

He just finished winning re-election with his son and the union thugs in charge of the voting machines.

He just pissed all over the voters of Nevada with that one.

I doubt he has any illusions about the who works for who equation.

As His Highness once stated: "You tourists stink".

I guess he may think that he just works for a nation of stinky voters as he does his best to bankrupt the nation.

You may bow now.

Oh. My. God.

Reid is here to serve the people, you know, you & me.  It's not like this guy went there because he knew Reid would be there.  Oh and by the way, Vesta, men go into grocery stores to get things just for themselves sometimes - without the wife's list.  My husband stops into a grocery store near his work at lunch time some days.

Reid can stay home and send his personal assistant or an intern out to get his grocery shopping done.  You know he has one.

Just because a man has a job serving the public does not mean he has to do it 24/7.

The only Job I know of that is on call 24/7 is that of a MOTHER.

BTW when your husband shops at a store on his lunch break does he have securiety guards following him, a fleet of Suvs out side to carry him back to work?

So when was the last ime your husband was at the deli section ordering a 1/2 lb. of ham and some Muslim came in his face for his choice, turned and yelled to the store that he was--unclean---?    :fuelfire:

Yes, we are very important, well-known socialites in Las Vegas.  ::)

Maybe not, but I guarantee you his anti-economic prosperity, anti-American security policies will affect each and everyone of us 24/7. Even long after we are all gone our children will have to live with them. Or die with them.

So go ahead ... just take it all in stride. We wouldnt want to "disturb him" during his time off -- even though our tax dollars are working (security, staff, SUV's) around the clock for his majesty -- Prince Harry. I guess our dollars wont "get such a break."

Vesta, do you HAVE ANY CONCEPT of how many juicy perks these shitheads have voted themselves on the justification that they're representing us, 24/7?!?!

As a matter of fact besides the free health care, I have no idea just what they get.

Congressional Perks

Quote
Today, Members of the United States Congress enjoy a vast web of perquisites that benefit them personally as well as professionally, including:

·  Comfortable salaries that are often determined through legislative sleight-of-hand. Contrary to the arguments of many Washington "insiders," the cost of living has rarely eroded the historical value of lawmakers' pay, which on a constant-dollar basis is hovering near the postwar high.

·  Pension benefits that are two to three times more generous than those offered in the private sector for similarly-salaried executives. Taxpayers directly cover at least 80 percent of this costly plan. Congressional pensions are also inflation-protected, a feature that fewer than 1 in 10 private plans offer.

·  The franking privilege, which gives lawmakers millions in tax dollars to create a favorable public image. Experts across the political spectrum have labeled the frank as an unfair electioneering tool. In past election cycles, Congressional incumbents have spent as much on franking alone as challengers have spent on their entire campaigns.

·  An office staff that performs "constituent services" and doles out pork-barrel spending, providing more opportunities for "favors" that can be returned only at election time.

And my personal favorite:
· Exemptions and immunities from tax, pension, and other laws that burden private citizens -- all crafted by lawmakers themselves.

I think that I've invested enough in these shysters and frauds, that if I happened to run into one of these assholes in a store, I could expect them to answer a ****in' question, so long as I wasn't being threatening or invasive about it, don't you?
