Just a hint for you Bally, I worked for a company in Ten. that made everything from Wet and Wild to Avon.    The only makeup that is bacteria free is Avon, we did not make Clinquet [ Sp?? ]  Separate rooms and we had to wear face masks paper head covers and gloves.

The other brands, name brand were in some cases made with the very same ingredients just the label was changed.  Like in the food industry name brand is exactly like store brands, just a label change. -- for them we had to wear the head coverings but no gloves or face masks.

If you wonder why you get the Flu, someone may have sneezed on cheap cosmetics, or even high end cosmetics produced in an environment is not well controlled.

Interesting business cosmetics, the amount of lead in some of them is small but the build up after years of use is something to be aware of.    The bright colors will have more lead and the wearing life of a color is determined by the amount of lead in the product.

BTW when you buy paint that says lead free, there is no such thing, they found there may be more lead in paint for a crib then on the walls.

At least this was true 5-10 years ago, things change but I wonder if  the chemical used instead of lead is any safer.

That wouldn't surprise me at all to find they have the same ingredients but just different labels.

So, is the quality of ingredients the same in all their products? If so, why spend the money on the expensive stuff?

Because it looks prettier??

On the face/body or in the container?

I bought some stuff the other day at CVS ... can't remember the name  :thatsright: , but it's by a dermatologist that I think I saw on an informercial one Sunday morning. I was looking to replace a Clinique product at a more affordable price. Clinique price last time I got it was $50, this one was $17.95 - and I got it half price because I bought 2 things in the same product line.  :yahoo:

The bottle is really pretty too!!

I have stocked up on too many lightbulbs (one closet full). And if I get half a chance Im going to over stock on twice as many before this regime outlaws them all.

Congress wants to force the pale, cold fluorescent curlicue fixtures on everyone because it makes members feel that they are doing their part to “save the planet.”

I have stocked up on enough 100 watt lightbulbs to see me through for decades. We can only buy existing stock here no imports allowed. But I don't see that as 'too many' as I have a plan to use them as needed and couldn't buy replacements when I want to.
