I know that we've debated the "birther" claim back and forth, but this vid should be an eye-opener.

The stuff on the Obamessiah starts at the 1:28 mark.
"Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of Liberty." - Thomas Jefferson

"All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don't sit looking at it - walk!" -Ayn Rand

"Those that trust God with their safety must yet use proper means for their safety, otherwise they tempt Him, and do not trust Him.  God will provide, but so must we also." - Matthew Henry, Commentary on 2 Chronicles 32, from Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible

"These anti-gun fools are more dangerous to liberty than street criminals or foreign spies."--Theodore Haas, Dachau Survivor

I've always been on the fence with this issue, and a lot of birthers have taken heat not only from the left but from a lot of people on the right BUT there's way too many unanswered questions that need to be answered.

Also, I've asked this question before on other boards, but why if it's true that Obama wasn't born here, why the cover-up? I can't believe the CIA or the FBI doesn't know the truth, and I can't believe every person in Government is clueless, so why no discussion of this at all? and who does it benefit if it's being covered up?

What I think is barry played both sides of the fence during his education, claiming foreign status when it suited him. That would be the reason his records are sealed.

Was he born in the US? Who the **** knows? As long as the left and the dems will do anything to make sure there is a coverup going on, who can say one way or the other.

His college admittance records would show that he did claim foreign status. Being a natural born liar would have disqualified him for the Presidency. One day, we might find out.

Like I've said in other threads, and thundley4 says above, it's cause the BC doesn't say Word One about 'Black,' White plus some Asian/Pacific minority, but not Black or Negro (Whichever one Hawaii used at the time).  If religion of parents is on an HI BC, that probably says something embarasing too.

Dutch is no doubt right about him claiming whatever nationality worked best for him at the moment at any given time in his life and education, but that would relate more to why his academic records can't seem to be found, rather than the BC itself.

You need an original BC to get a passport, right? Didn't Obama travel to Pakistan and spend several months there back when it was illegal to do so.....SO, is passport information a matter of public record or sealed? He has had one so why can't we see it?

I am surprised and a little impressed that someone, somewere hasn't leaked a document.  Either from here or outside the U.S.

No. You need a certified BC for a passport. I used a copy to get into the Army as well. I have never seen a 'long form' BC, not even my own.

Lemme try to get this straight - the hippy new governor of Hawaii said it was going to be a big mission of his to put and end to this controversy, but he crashed into a brick wall and couldn't find any records of it in the vaults, only a note. In the meantime, a friend of his who happens to have a radio show there says in an interview that the governor said that there was no birth certificate, but two days later, the friend recants that statement and says he "misspoke"? What's there to be suspicious about?

Yeah, nothing to see here folks move along. I have always been of the opinion that it's a matter of being "white" on the BC and that's too embarrassing for him.  That and his arrogance over *GASP* people just wanting to know the truth.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

People have said that he was able to travel there because he was an Indonesian citizen and traveling under that passport.

A celebrity journalist now claims he misspoke when he said last week that Hawaii's governor told him he was unable to find President Barack Obama's original birth certificate after a search of state and hospital archives.

Mike Evans told FoxNews.com on Wednesday he was remorseful and embarrassed that he appeared to have given the impression that he had discussed the search for Obama's birth certificate with Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie.
