In 30 years, Republicans will be claiming and quoting Barack Obama

just as they now do with JFK, Martin Luther King
and Harry Truman.

What a nightmare thought...in 30 years, the Dims will be so bad even Obama will look good.   :bawl: :bawl:

It only took Obama to make Clinton look like a rock-ribbed RINO.

DUmmy needs to check his timeline.  Obama isn't doing anything but repeating campaign slogans that put the opposition party in power in November.  Reducing tax rates, eliminating earmarks, reducing non-discretionary deficit spending.  I think one of his speechwriters hoisted a few papers off Paul Ryan's desk when he was out to lunch.

Oh, no, Clinton may be in the running for only second-to-worst instead of worst, but that's about it.

There was a little feature/analysis on F&F today, which showed that that speech was largely plagairized from past presidents, par for the course for the democrats.    So, the OP has it turned around a bit.

I wouldn't even go that far.  Carter has Clinton beaten, hands-down.

Sounds more like a crabby DUmmy trying to soothe its wounded Leftist heart by engaging in a little Obama-worship ::)

Hmm, it's been 30 years. Are conservatives quoting and claiming Carter?

I agree with the DUchebag OP. Only we will quote and then show the error if his remark.

For lurking DUmbasses MLK was a republican. JFK would be more vilified than Joe Lieberman and Truman would be in the Tea Party.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Would we, though? Rebel has a point about Carter, IMO. It's not as if Obama will be as memorable as say, Stalin.

Claiming? Never.  Quoting? Yes.  Of course, it'll be proceeded by "Can you believe that idiot said this, ......."

"If they bring a knife, we'll bring a gun."...I figure that'll be about the only quote used 30 years from now.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

The only quotes of Carter's I use on a semi-regular basis is when I curb-stomp liberals with his statements like, "...put on a sweater..."

The most amazing thing about President Peanut, aside from the rabbit attack and the lusting mind, is that he's a graduate of the Naval Academy.
The idea that such a thoroughly incompetent boob could have a degree from a service academy boggles my mind.
