Supposedly, this new tone crap is extending to the seating of the State of the Union. With the big wins in Congress for the Republicans, this would have severely negated the media's ability to highlight the reaction of the congress critters from the left.
So now when the Democrats stand up and cheer, they will be from ALL OVER the congress floor, even though they make about 40% of the makeup. This will allow the media to state that, because there will be no discernible areas where NO cheers are made, that Congress is UNANIMOUS in their support for Obama's speech. "Why, Rachel, I didn't see ANY area where congressmembers didn't stand up and cheer! This shows that his policies are in line with most people and that Republicans, when push come to shove, completely agree with the Democrats!"
That's my fear...
