DU -- the non violent site....
« on: January 23, 2011, 01:30:46 PM »
During the whole Arizona shooter thing, DU spent lots of time crowing about how nothing they do can incite violence, and if a violent post appears, the mods delete it..

This, of course, refers to the 'crosshairs' and how an unstable person might misinterpret that... Quite a stretch, I know.. Anyway, If that stretch is 'Plausible' to a DUmmy, how about these stretches....

You're making the mistake of thinking you can read DU and apply any form of logic to anything they say.  I was part of the Protest Warrior/DU war during Bush's first term.  You need some sort of idiot's Rosetta stone to interpret the way they think.

Heh, I remember that shit! Welcome aboard Tex! Did ya manage to get into the caravan to DC? Was it DC, or headin' to Texas to give the Ditch Witch a piece of our minds? There were a couple.
I'm the guy your mother warned you about!

Actually, quite the opposite - DUmors go by one, and only one rule.

"Its good if our side does it"

Primitives who have enough gray matter to comprehend the fallacy of the above statement move on either voluntarily or via tombstone. They live simplistic, binary lives, and exist only to support whatever they are told to support.

Example :

What happened to the daily Iraq/Afghanistan body counts at DU ?
What happened to the cries of impeachment for leading the US in 'illegal and immoral wars' ?
What happened to the evils of an administration that supports outsourcing work via NAFTA and similar programs ?

"Its good if our side does it"

You need some sort of idiot's Rosetta stone to interpret the way they think.

I'd pay a king's ransom for one of those stones.

When Pitcairn Island seceded from Skins's island some time ago, I was under the impression that the Pitcairn Islanders were a higher-class sort of primitive, and thus might provide anthropological clues, although of a higher, more sophisticated, way of thinking....but damn it, no; they all think alike.

lol, those were good times!  Then one day PW went down.  I really miss that place.  I hadn't found a good conservative forum until I stumbled onto this place yesterday.  :)

I knew not to go to any PW functions.  I get very mouthy when I'm around brash liberals and, given my job, it wouldn't be a very good idea to end up in a fist fight.  Trust me, when the guys would post videos of libs yanking their signs out of their hands, I was VERY tempted to attend.

Outstanding point.  I also miss all the protests on the Mall in Washington DC demanding an end to the wars.  Weird.

I read some comments on this "skin" person yesterday, but I haven't made the connection yet.

Of course - because their sides are perpetuating the wars now - as well as 'Torture' at Gitmo and other facilities.

Now at DU --

9/11 'Troofers' are and have always been right-wing kooks.
The people who want to 'cut and run' from the wars are crazy TEA party Libertarians like Ron Paul.
Right-wing isolationists want to destroy the delicate economic balance of the world by pulling our money out of other countries.

and on and on...

I read some comments on this "skin" person yesterday, but I haven't made the connection yet.

Said '"skin" person' refers to David Allen, aka "Skinner," the owner of DU.
"Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of Liberty." - Thomas Jefferson

"All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don't sit looking at it - walk!" -Ayn Rand

"Those that trust God with their safety must yet use proper means for their safety, otherwise they tempt Him, and do not trust Him.  God will provide, but so must we also." - Matthew Henry, Commentary on 2 Chronicles 32, from Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible

"These anti-gun fools are more dangerous to liberty than street criminals or foreign spies."--Theodore Haas, Dachau Survivor

When the Code Pinkos were protesting their filth in front of the VA hospital a few years back, I was tempted to head down there and shove those signs they were carryin' right of their dry twats!

I'd never seen such disrespect, even durin' the Nam protests! I notice since Obiewan has taken office they have ceased! ****in' worthless hypocrites!

I read some comments on this "skin" person yesterday, but I haven't made the connection yet.

As mentioned above, 'Skins' refers to 'Skinner' - the principle person behind DU.

We have renamed many of our favorite primitives, If you review the top primitive award threads <HERE>you'll know who we are talking about in no time.

Thanks for the insight.  I'll catch up.  DU was more fun when Bush was in office.  It's more fun to watch them whine than gloat.
