Why I hope KO is going to CNN
CNN used to be a legend. First Gulf War, they're reporting on the bombing while being bombed. They had Journalist rock stars like Christine Amanapour, Bernard Shaw, John Holliman, and Peter Arnett. Ted Turner was behind it - and although he may not be everyone's cup of tea, the man is a visionary.

Then they tried to be FOX news. People stopped watching. I mean, if you want to watch Fox news (and I can't see why you would) just ****ing watch Fox News.

Their rock stars left, Ted Turner divested himself of the channel, they hired Glenn Beck and Nancy Grace. In short: they sucked.

But I think they get it now (or at least I hope they do) and rebuilding CNN with Keith Olbermann is a step in the right direction.

DUmmy Taverner may be on to something here. Smug snottiness has been a winning image for PMSNBC; Fox ratings are only three or four times higher. If CNN decides to go the smug snotty route, Keef is their boy.

(By the way, we can put a face on the DUmmy. DUmmy Taverner is the fat, hairy, unibrow gayboy pictured in his underwear, holding a pistol. He posted it on a DUmp photo thread, and someone posted it here a few days ago.)

Not familiar with entertainment but in every other profession I know of that have contracts there is usually a "No Compete" clause for at least a year.  So Kweef maybe able to do sports but a mean spirited political comedy show will be out for some time.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Oh I'm sure there is an opening for him on "The View".

Two years.  Comcast bought out the last two years of his contract.  He can't be anywhere for those two years.  So, he should be back on the airwaves shortly after the Obamessiah goes back to Shitcago--as a civilian.

Indeed - When I worked for AT&T, I left under a noncompete clause as well as nondisclosure- And in the grand scheme of Telecom, I was just a peon --so, its garanteed, that Kweef's hands are tied in the television news business, unless it involves something like going back to sports anchoring, or "human interest" stories.

Nothing would make me happier than watching Kweef interview Snooki about her new book.   :-)

That's my take on it too. I guess they can let him go somewhere else, but it will have to be outa the goodness of their heart.

Somehow, I think OverBite probably made an ass outa himself when they were in negotiations over his contract. I mean c'mon, they didn't have to fire him on the spot, they more than likely did it because he pitched a bitch while they were tellin' him he wasn't worth 7 mil/year.

If I were them, I'd most likely make him suffer for his arrogance, if that is indeed what happened! Pretty sure somethin' musta gone on, since why else would ya make your own headaches in scheduling when ya don't have to?

Im fairly certain that this will be the case - Kweef wanted more than PMSNBC was willing to pay, and he had a hissyfit over it.

--And once again - the Liberals have all jumped to the conclusion that this somehow involves the VRWC.. Typical asshattery.

Because Keef is such a big deal to them, they just can't understand what a miniscule pimple he is on the body politic. DUmmies are entranced when they see someone on TV as deranged as themselves. It's like how some dogs will watch TV when another dog is running around on it. Keef's influence would need to be orders of magnitude greater before he'd become of interest to the VRWC. Although all of us smile at his demise, no one would lift a finger to enable it.

I truly hope the DUmmies are prophetic on this one.  I would love to see Queef Überdouche do for CNN's ratings what he has successfully done to MSNBC's.  That is one superb VRWC media operative. :II:  Lord Rove is getting HUGH return on his investment infiltrating Queef into the left-wing propaganda houses.   I'm SERIES!!111eleventyone1!  :rotf:

Contracts can be waived, but it normally involves cutting off any remaining severance payments and/or forfeiting what's been received to date, and I believe he got a very large one.  A new employer can also buy out the contract, which happens all the time with sports and (actual) entertainment talent, but that all depends on someone actually wanting to hire said talent.  Who but PMSNBC wants to put out what Queef has to offer?  FSTV?  Right, buying out his severance package would use up their entire operating budget for the next generation or two.

I was talking about anything that's really on in the US in satellite or cable packages, but I guess there may actually be markets here that do have al-Jizz in their line-up, parts of MI or the NYC metro market for instance...and Berkely, of course.
