Philadelphia abortion doctor charged with 8 murders, including 7 babies killed with scissors

A Philadelphia abortion doctor has been charged with eight counts of murder in the deaths of a woman patient and seven babies that prosecutors say were born alive and then killed with scissors.

The charges against Dr. Kermit Gosnell follow a long grand jury investigation.

District Attorney Seth Williams says state regulators ignored complaints and failed to visit the clinic since 1993.

Williams says the women were subjected to squalid and barbaric conditions at Gosnell's Women's Medical Society, which was shut down last year.

Gosnell has been named in at least 10 malpractice suits, including one over the death of a woman who died of sepsis and a perforated uterus.

 Sometimes I get wild ideas when I see crap like this. It makes me wonder what this "doctor's" political leanings are. It would make sense to have an anti-abortion "doc" do something heinous to bring to light the "horror" of abortions.

Of course, it doesn't make sense this would go on since '93 if that were indeed the case but it would be a terrific political move to bring the abortion debate back to the foreground.

The DUmbass is a little off base here. There are fewer OB-GYN doctors because of the litigation and astronomical malpractice premiums forced by ambulance chasers like DUmp icon John Edwards. Ambulance-chasing trial lawyers are overwhelmingly democrat.

We may be responsible in part, however, for the relatively low number of murder mills run by monsters like the late Killer Tiller. Hopefully, one day that low number will be zero.

Okay let me see if I can understand the twisted logic...this happened in Philadelphia which most likely has more than one abortion clinic and probably more than one planned parenthood where you can kill your baby whether you can afford to pay the hit ma...uh I mean abortion doc...make that ob/gyn or not. Yet, a story about a doctor who kills women and live babies in a big city where women have plenty of choices is an example of what will happen if abortion becomes illegal and they don't have a killer doc on every block. Granted we're talking late term abortion, and the lives of those women and babies are evidently less important than keeping a "woman's right to choose" to kill her unborn child legal. Still, I'd think even DUmmies will agree when the baby is delivered and then has its spine severed is about as late a term as you can get. Wouldn't want their compassion to get in the way of their reverence for life.

Excuse me? the reason for the decline in OB Doctors is because of the high rates for malpractice insurance needed, you know why? because of Lawyers suing for things like Cerebal Palsy in a child, do you know of such a Lawyer?

That's precisely why I don't read Moonbattery anymore, and have really lost a lot of respect for Van Helsing, who seems perfectly willing to tolerate shit like that on his site, for no other reason than he thinks it drives traffic.

I remember about 9 years ago, when the man still had some convictions, other than some obsession with the site counter at the bottom of the page.
