I dunno, larcarnut.
Since 1998, I've had to have various growths removed from the face; latent melanoma, one might call it, although I'm sure that's not the exact medical term.
Three different methods have been done; the scapel, laser, and frozen nitrogen.
They all seem to have worked the same, although I prefer frozen nitrogen.
It might have a great deal to do with the texture of your skin.
In my case, I've lucked out--I luck out on a lot of things--in that after all heals, there is no visual evidence of anything having been done. A expert dermatologist of course can notice, but in this case, apparently only with a magnifying glass.
I think a lot of it depends upon the texture of your skin.
