Surely some of y'all can explain if there's causation, in which direction, etc.

These fans (I know many -- this is Texas) run the gamut from middle-class retirees to wealthy to lower-middle class with gross differences in education, opportunity, and income. But they're ALL frikkin' soused. What's up with that?

According to the new societal rulz, if a woman drinks more than one alcoholic beverage a day she's an alcoholic.  Hell, put me down as one then :bird:

Here's an interesting link about our Founding Fathers' drinking habits.  I'd say, judging from what I read here that Rush listeners, the purported alkies, would have had alot in common with the founders of our nation.

I know their socially liberal sort - the kind that looks for any excuse to booze it up and get sloshed. Chinese New Year, half-birthday, Saint Patrick's (when most of them aren't Irish or Catholic or even Christian, and yet they're hitting the bars and the liquor stores) - nothing but a bunch of irresponsible boozers.

It's one thing to be addicted to the drink - that can happen to most anyone. It's another to accept it and revel in it when it's with people of your own political persuasion and condemn a political opponent for the same.

I am a Glenn fan and I have maybe ONE drink a month.  If that.  And when I do have a drink, it's usually Dr. Pepper mixed with a shot of Captain Morgan.  Not enough to even make me slightly tipsy.

Rush airs at the same time as Glenn, so I only listen to Rush when KDWN airs a repeat of Glenn's show because something was wrong with getting the audio that morning.  We don't listen to Glenn live out here, but Rush's show is live for us.

Really?  That's weird, since pretty much all the conservatives, Beck/Rush fans or not, are fairly intelligent, capable thinkers.  Wonder where he/she/it is finding the people it hangs around with.
