Rent fight??
That just sounds so funny!
A man who was apparently upset that a rent check wasn't big enough pulled out a machete and chased the renter outside, according to a sheriff's deputy's report.
Ashley A. Moore, 45, of 703 E. Idlewild Ave. in Tampa, was arrested at 11:25 p.m. Thursday on charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence.
Moore and the victim got into an argument about 9 p.m. at the Idlewild address. Moore pushed the victim, a woman who was not identified, and she walked away to let things cool down, the report says.
The victim returned later and handed Moore a check for half the amount of rent owed. Moore became angry, pulled out a machete and charged the woman, saying he was going to kill her, the report says.
Moore put down the machete, punched the woman on top of her head, picked up the machete again and chased her out of the house, the report says.
Moore fled the scene. The woman later identified him, and he was arrested and booked into the Hillsborough County Jail.
