 He is not telling people to shoot the sheriff. And it isn't reasonable to think that he is saying that he is going to shoot the sheriff.

It's satire. Maybe not great satire, but satire nonetheless. The key would be to ignore him so that his ratings drop and he goes away. He clearly is using this to get press.

 He played a parody of that song saying "I'm not a sheriff". I don't think that makes it any better, but that is what he really did. I was in a coworkers office that was listening to it and at first hearing it I thought the same thing. He disagreed so I listened closer and he was right.

I knew I was missing some good entertainment.  My daughter goes nuts and tries to rip the radio off the counter whenever it is on, so we keep radio play (music or talk radio) to a minimum.

Does Rush put audio on his website after the show?

Somethin' like this will always be on his site after about 3 eastern! If ya want to hear more you need to become a member of Rush 24/7. It's like $7/month.

Oh Toooo funny!  I missed it on Rush's show, but of course the DUmmies are acting exactly as expected.  You'd think they'd know by now that so many eyes are upon their little island, just looking for the entertaining stupidity.  Guess they can't help themselves.  They just love getting into a lather, don't they?  Just 2 days ago it was BLOOD LIBEL!
