In an open letter just sent by the White House, First Lady Michelle Obama exhorts parents to use the Tucson tragedy as a teachable moment. It's a moment, she writes, for valuable lessons, "about the character of our country, about the values we hold dear, and about finding hope at a time when it seems far away."

Here's the full text of the letter.

    Dear parents,

Like so many Americans all across the country, Barack and I were shocked and heartbroken by the

Emphasis mine....WTF...is it just me or what? A teachable moment just rubs me the wrong way.. Seriously is it just me?

Probably, it would. She'd consider it for "the greater good" or some shit.

So she is saying teach your kids not to be insane or drug addled mass murderers?
That would seem to be the only logical thing would could do given the facts.

Something tells me that isn`t what she means though is it?

Well, it's too late for me, I guess. I raised a Marine and we all know how violent they are. Too bad I didn't have the first lady telling me how to raise my children 20 years ago...I may not have gone so wrong.

What on earth would an open letter to parents have to do with this shooting?

Hey Michelle, we know how to raise our children, and we don't need you or anyone else in the government telling us how. This shooting has nothing to do with how we raise our children and everything to do with some nutcase going off the deep end.

If you want to do something, sweetie, then advocate for the loosening of unconstitutional gun laws so that every nutbag in the country knows that any given American might be carrying a gun and won't make such easy prey as an unarmed congresswoman.

Well hell.  Michelle wrote a letter. Now we all know she is going to make Obumbler let her go on vacation after all the hard work. After all they've been back from Hawaii almost 2 weeks.

Uh, yeah, about that Mrs. Obama...maybe you should ask Sarah Palin or Rush Limbaugh how that's working.   ::) ::) ::)

Wouldn't it be nice if they at least paid attention to something beside the big headlines??   :argh:

**** Michelle Obama. If they were so heartbroken, they could have at least hid it a little better. Hell, Obama made Clinton look like a good person.

She is just showing how stupid she really is. I doubt they are going to give it another thought since all they seem to care is about them.

EVERYTHING about Michelle Obama rubs me the wrong way.

This is going to be catty but she's has the fashion sense of a turd sandwich. I'd be embarrassed to be seen in public in the things she wears.  She's one of those women that you want to tell, "You go girl, and take those tacky shoes with you!"

That bitch is demonstrating their intent to never let a crisis go to waste.  She doesn't give a rat's ass about the victims except as it probably interfered with some party they were going to have at the White House.

The tackiest shoes she wore were the $500 sneakers to the homeless shelter while she was playing Lady Bountiful last year. :whatever:

Oh yeah, BTW, HI5 Cindie.
