It is being claimed that a "miracle" took place when Congresswoman Giffords opened her eyes.

This happened when Obama was there. We already have it documented that President Obama "acts Christ-like." If Obama did perform a miracle, he is one major step closer to canonization.

Have political leaders been canonized before? I don't know that it matters.

He's a politician and a damn good one but he is not a miracle worker with a direct link to God. His greatest ability is his power to communicate.

The "miracle workers" in this case are the doctors and staff in the hospital.

They had the TOTUS monitors sitting on the floor with blankets over the backside of them to make them less obvious, I just watched a portion of the speech at MSNBC and they are pretty obvious in some of the shots.  It looks like he also relied heavily on hand held notes, probably a conscious effort to keep his head from swinging back and forth like he usually does.
