Congrats! It's way more fun than raising your own. Enjoy!

I just hate those parents that expect you to hold their infants. I never got all shaky with my baby's but with a grandchild, I am terrified I will drop them or do something that makes them cry.
Even at 8-9 months of age baby's can do the darnedest things, I had one Grandbaby who for some reason I had on my lap at Church become so excited over something he saw he leaped in the direction of his excitement and darn near hit the floor. The Priest who saw this broke off his story and said " Good catch Grandma"
When it is your daughter that is the mother of a new baby, she will often come to you for advise. When it is the daughter in law that is the mother she will go to her mother and disregard and worse not want you interfearing with her caring for the child.
Enjoy this child, but a wise grandparent will keep their mouth shut unless the child is being abused in some mannor.
It can be a tight rope for a grandparent to walk for many years, I was totally beaten up by the in laws family when I sent savings bonds and a small toy to my grandchildren for birthdays and Xmas.
Congratulations on this new stage of your life, but don't expect it to be the same as when you raised your baby's.
