No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. I read on one of their intro threads that apparently there's some bad blood due to some hard leftists on Hannity's forum who are just a little too cozy with some of the mods, thereby lending the impression of little to no neutrality.

Seems a little bizarre. Why would hardcore leftists want to hang around on a forum that's "owned" by a conservative?

I have steppy stools of varying heights, depending on necessity in every room in the house.  Even the bathroom, because I don't have a floor length mirror.   :-)

One of which was a housewarming present and has been bedazzled.

I am one of the newbies from Hannity.

That is a nice light-handed description of the issue.

Some of these people who are looking around for other venues are my good friends and I do not want to lose them.  I am not leaving Hannity but I am branching out.

I went onto Hannity after Obama was actually being sworn in to fight the libs.  I had to do something.  Unlike some that are coming over, they can speak for themselves, I am not tired.  I am tired of having to retreat into ever more esoteric forms of logically flaying the libs.

As you would expect from any group we vary greatly in personality, humor and style.  To be honest the person among the the Hannity folk I have seen here that I know least is Bally.

I will quit talking about others.  Suffice it to say it is difficult to have years of trust and almost 15K posts reduced to having to start a thread called "Null" when they would let me say nothing else about liberal excesses in crazy comments about every leading Conservative after the recent evil act.  They told me to say Nothing, so I did, over and over.

I am a scientist, researcher, hunter, archer, father of pre-schoolers with the best wife in the universe, and Born Again only by the Grace of God fully convinced of TULIP.

Heck, I was even a GOP Presidents Club member until we no longer had a President, Senate, or House.

And Mark Levin IS the MAN!

Blame Bally she did it but that is ok they all seem cool not chew toy worthy LOL

Generally all of us are combat hardened Hannity vets, each with our own talents and approaches.  I myself have over 23k posts there.

I'm somewhat known for methodical, and often lengthy arguments ("walls") , with lots of supporting reference.  These "walls" led my opponents to pursue a "personal" (ad hom) approach with me. Unfortunately, I make a particularly lousy chew toy and come with spikes and razor-wire of my own.  I can play on their field, but would rather not, as that approach is not my own inclination.   Perhaps as a result of this, the mods have seen fit to give the "Libs" a high degree of latitude regarding TOS with me, sometimes to my displeasure.

What began our migration off of Hannity was, in  some ways, the result of my two-week timeout for addressing another "Guest" there as "Einstein".   The warrant for my "Einstein" address was his accusation that I was offering only my own "opinion", even while quoting my post which referenced the U.S. Supreme Court.  During that timeout, with the help of another "co-conspirator", we began pulling the Best O'the Best from Hannity to an IRC chatroom, so as to better marshal our forces, and discuss the degrading condition of the "field of combat".

What you find among us here are that Best O'the Best.

That "field of combat" worsened more in recent days as a  result of the AZ shooting. You're all aware of the media accusations of "the Right" (inclusive of Palin's tareted political map) having influenced the shooting. Hannity's forum had the policy instituted of "no politicization" of events, which would have been fine, except that some members of the left were given latitude to reference these media claims as if fact, while we were generally silenced. Particular members of the left there have 'untouchable' status because of having met the Mods at get-togethers.
