On CSPAN radio Jan Brewer just had the unmitigated gall to say of

the attempted assassination of Giffords, that in effect "no one could have forseen this".

How does someone this stupid or disingenuous get elected?????

You will change your tune when someone suggests maybe sheriff Dumpster should have done his job.
Then it will be how could he have known?

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Yep. If anyone could have foreseen this , it was the sheriff.

You are correct thundley.
And the sheriff should remain neutral in this matter and he has not. He's a public servant and should not have said what he had said.

Indeed- he turned this wacko loose more than once for 'lack of an actionable offense' or somesuch.  He should have used the time he had with him to get him a psych examination to make his obvious crazy 'official'

I have faith that the Federal Bureau of Investigations will say this.

"All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don't sit looking at it - walk!" -Ayn Rand

"Those that trust God with their safety must yet use proper means for their safety, otherwise they tempt Him, and do not trust Him.  God will provide, but so must we also." - Matthew Henry, Commentary on 2 Chronicles 32, from Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible

"These anti-gun fools are more dangerous to liberty than street criminals or foreign spies."--Theodore Haas, Dachau Survivor

Isn't the FBI under the umbrella of the DOJ which is controlled by Eric Injustice Holder?

Well, if you could foresee this happening, you had a duty to call Sheriff Dimwitt and inform him!

Well, there is that little hurdle to cross.

How 'bout we phrase it, "The local FBI office will say this in their preliminary reports, which will then be edited beyond all recognition as they progress slowly and inexorably up the chain of "command"."

The problem with this case is the mental health system. I Commit people all the time because they're nuts. They get them to the county hospital, the doctor prescribes what he feels is the right cocktail of psychotropic drugs, then kicks them out the door. MHMR tries to do follow-ups, but you've got a handful of case workers trying to handle thousands of crazies. This is the price we're going to have to pay for being unable to institutionalize these whack-jobs long-term.

I'm going to quote this one more time because it needs to be said.

I don't have anything else to add.

I understand commuting someone is damn near impossible without their consent, but DUmbDick sure as hell coulda put him on the Feds Firearms data base as a potential risk! This guy needs to lose everything he owns, be kicked to curb and outa office, and be humiliated on the national stage! Crucifyin' this bitch would be to good for him!

Then, when the truth is finally published in gory detail of his complete incompetence, lock him in the same room for 15 minutes with the father that lost the 9 year old little girl!
I'm the guy your mother warned you about!

If only Tom Cruise lived in Tucson.
You see, I don't care you how feel.  I really don't.  More importantly, neither does anyone else.  Only about 200 people on a planet of 7 billion actually care about your feelings, and that's if you're lucky.  The sooner you grasp this lesson, the better off you will be.  And since almost no one gives a damn what you do, say, think, or feel, appealing to your feelings when you encounter differences of opinion is not only illogical, but useless.

For the love of Pete, Allos, may as well blame the shooters parents and the people that he scared to death in school.     Blame Walmart for selling him the Ammo, the first store refused to sell to him as his conduct was weird. If you need to excuse his actions, blame his friends for not saying something to his parents.

Want to go a step further, blame the State Rep that made it easy for him to carry with no license.

Why do you need to place the blame on anyone else but the shooter himself.??

You seem to have fallen into the Lib. thought mode that there is no direct responsibility for peoples actions.   Got to blame the schools, family, teachers, grandparents and some kind of personality disorder, AAD, anger control, dyslexia, head trauma at the age of 6, drug or Alcohol use.

This SOB was a functioning man and he made the choice to go on the rampage, he and he alone is responsible for his actions.----Why do you suppose he has that smirk on his face, he is now FAMOUS, everyone will want to write books about him, he will have a high up reputation in prison and as Charles Manson  has said, in prison one can get all the drugs and sex one wants, he will have groupies, pen palls from all over the world.

He may go the way of John Wayne Gassy and take up painting pictures of clowns and sell them at one hundred bucks a pop.

Problem is, there may be 500 people just like him in all 50 States.  Perhaps even more---- Sleep well my friends, perhaps someone will invent a cell phone that will not just take pictures but have a high powered weapon inside.

Vesta, stop it.

Just
****ing
Stop it

This retard of a sheriff had ample opportunity to see to it the whackaloon in question was put somewhere safe.

He didn't.

Now the crazy shithead has killed and maimed a shitload of people all because sheriff numbnuts didn't bother to do his job.

That's what Allo is talking about, not moving blame away from the nutball shooter.  Pay more attention and maybe you won't embarrass yourself so damned much.
