Gabby Gifford's medical care.

Gifford is receiving outstanding medical care at Tucson Medical Center. The surgeons that are caring for her
have given awesome press conferences detailing her care and the nature of her injuries. Seems with
-out this exceptional care she wouldn't have survived.

More than likely Gifford is being covered under the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHBP).
Probably the finest coverage in the country and paid for by taxpayers.

Just last week there was another Az. citizen waiting for and denied a transplant on Keith Olbermann's
show. While I wish Gabby Gifford and all the others still hospitalized the very best, it's impossible
for me not to see and feel extremely disturbed by the disparity in healthcare given our elected officials
and some of the people they represent.

Now let's use this horrible event to get single payer.
 :mental:

Now if she was a repuke they would be saying she doesn't deserve this kind of care.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Now if the DUchebag had been really listening, it is all Bush's fault.  The head surgeon said that they had made gigantic strides in head trauma from the military in the last decade.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

You will rarely be granted a transplant on Keef's lame show.

She's getting the best free care there is because she's a government official.  And the other dude is not getting good free care because he's a peon....isn't that exactly how socialized healthcare is supposed to work?
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

Nope. Under ideal socialized health care, Gabby would still be waiting in the emergency room with everyone else.

One of the reasons for her survival....

Quote
Reporting from Tucson — Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, gunshot wound through her brain, was fortunate enough to be wheeled into the emergency room of a uniquely qualified surgeon: Dr. Peter Rhee, a 24-year military surgeon who has treated "hundreds and hundreds" of battlefield injuries during stints in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Rhee, 49, chief of trauma at University Medical Center in Tucson, said his work in the Navy tending to injured soldiers and Marines and teaching the next generation of battlefield medical personnel unquestionably played a role in his ability to treat Giffords and direct care for the 10 other victims who began arriving in his unit Saturday morning.

Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

"My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far I've finished two bags of M&M's and a chocolate cake. I feel better already." – Dave Barry
