Been hearing a lot today about how he may have had it in for the judge, but by those quotes, I'd say it was Giffords all along.

Very sad.

Sounds like his hatred towards Gifford is not political, but a condescending reason.

My condolences to the families of those who were lost, and the wounded have my prayers. I hope justice is done.

I don't get why the media reported Congresswoman Giffords as dead, when she was alive the whole time?  :???:

I bet Keith Olbermann has a degree in journalism (or its retarded cousin, 'mass communications').

Probably for the same reasons they were all chomping at the bit to blame the right: sensationalism, laziness and political bias.

So much for the "he was an Afghan war very meme:

Quote
Loughner's page on YouTube lists Tucson as his hometown. He also said he attended Northwest Aztec College and Pima County Community College. And in one of the videos, he says he is a military recruit.

But an Army official told Fox News Loughner attempted to enlist in the Army in December 2008 but was denied.

The Army provided this statement:

"The Army has confirmed that the suspect was never in the Army. He attempted to enlist in the Army but was rejected for service. In accordance with the Privacy Act, we will not discuss why he was rejected."

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/01/08/shooting-suspects-apparent-youtube-video/

And for those wondering why she was originally pronounced dead.  Let's not jump to conclusions about the media wanting to sensationalize something.

Like with any 'eyewittness event' there is lots of confusion at first.  Lots of varying stories from people who saw the same even through different sets of eyes and at different angles.

The woman took a round to the head at a distance of four feet.  Easy to see why they'd say she was dead.  Especially if at any time during the time between when EMS arrived and the trauma center got to her she lost vital signs.  Reporters monitor police scanners...could have been something as easy as hearing that sent over the radio to the hospital while she was en route.

And for those of you old enough to remember...did anyone looking at the pictures think James Brady was still alive after he took a round to the head when Reagan was shot?

I heard that someone tried to take a shot at the MOFO but missed. I don't know how I would feel if I tried to stop someone like that and failed . I'm hoping that story isn't true.

As far as I've heard, nobody attempted to fire at the perpetrator.

Fox News just stated Homeland Security is claiming he "may" be a member or, or influenced by a conservative white supremest group, American Renaissance.

Boy, the left just is NOT going to be happy until they get another Tim McVeigh, are they?  And of course, when this "association" turns out to be a load of horseshit, do you think they'll clarify or retract?

No siree, we've got an agenda to push here, people!  Ya'll found out he wasn't in the military so we have to associate him (or push him away from the left) some other way!

Watching Christiane Amanpour right now, she stated that the suspect has no known ties to the Tea Party or any conservative group.   That seems pretty strong for her, but I am good with that.

The tragic shooting spree Saturday at a political rally in Tucson, Arizona has an unfortunate baseball tie.

Christina-Taylor Greene, the 9-year-old child who was killed, is the granddaughter of ex-MLB manager Dallas Green and the daughter of current Dodgers scout John Green.  This from Adam Rubin of ESPN New York.

Apparentlly, the 9 year old girl was the grand daughter of ex MLB manager Dallas Greene. Interesting find, but more bad news. Rest in Peace, Christina. :(

Timothy McVeigh was no right winger for sure. He got upset when he shot a groundhog, but had no problems killing people in the Oklahoma City Bombing. He even wrote a letter railing against slaughter houses because he said they were inhumane. He was probably the reason why Columbine happened because the killers idolized him.

I think this will backfire on the left. People, not just political junkies but ordinary Americans, are paying attention. And the majority of the country (something like 2.5 to 1) identify themselves as conservatives and support the Tea Party movement. However, the left is incapable of change.

This is a tactic that's always worked for them. It's cynical and disgusting and will be seen as such. Their blatant and deliberate betrayal of the country since 0bama's election hasn't gone unnoticed (hence the recent historic election). Karma's a bitch.

I remember when Columbine happened, I knew this had something to do with the Oklahoma City Bombing and Timothy McVeigh got his revenge. Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold were virulently anti-police. I suspect that Harris and Klebold also likely admired Ramzi Yousef (1993 World Trade Center Bombing) and Ted Kaczynski (Unabomber). Klebold's birthday is September 11, 1981.
