This topic is the exact source of material for the screenplay I took a few weeks off to complete.

For my own selfish reasons, I hope someone wins it all this week, otherwise, I'll have to adjust my script accordingly.  :banghead:

Believe me, once we have a shooting draft (and have it copyrighted), I'll be thrilled to share it with everyone!!!!!

Can't wait to read it.

I like to watch "How The Lottery Changed My Life"  or whatever it's called.  Believe it's on TLC.  It's always nice to see what people do with their winnings.

Oh, I never really said what I would do with the money.

- Pay off all of our debts.
- Buy a huge lot of vacant land in Wisconsin or Illinois and have a customized house built.
- Pay off our parent's mortgages and debts.
- Put money away for Carleigh's college fund.
- Hire a fitness trainer, because I have no motivation of my own.
- Buy Bobo a tank of gas.
- Purchase cars for needy families.
- Give random people money, just hand out $1,000 to random people... just because.

So much more can be done with that money, even after a chunk is taken out for taxes.

I couldn't even see that movie.  The previews pretty much told me the beginning to end.  It looked totally predictable and stupid.

Do what I had to to make sure my Mom and BF's parents were living comfortably.  They are all disabled, and don't live on much. 
Travel, travel, travel.
Pimp out my house, I ain't selling it, I have 2 more years before I can't live in it anymore, due to the conditions of my mortgage.
Did I say travel?
Pay for a vacation for me and all my most favorite girls, in Tennessee, or Arkansas (some of em don't fly.)

I will do some good works for others, I have a scheme.  Vets first of all.

And NOT go to my job.  Ever. Except to pick up my last paycheck.   :hyper:

I think the goal of BM was to spend the money and have no assets left over at the end.

Haven't gotten a ticket, and don't plan to. I'm not even remotely lucky. :lmao: However, I'd pay for my dad's medical billls first, and do whatever else I could to help him survive. I'd also  stow much of it away in Swiss banks, bonds, trusts, etc. Family gifts would be a given. The last thing I'd do (only if my dad dwas at full health, or if he past away  :bawl:) would be to get a fairly nice, but not over the top apartment in Manhattan. Then'd I'd get a low paying job in the city just so that I'd be doing something. Let the interest build, and worry about traveling the world, and shit later on in life.

I got my ticket. I'm going to buy a missile silo someplace and stock it with whatever I'd need and wait for the Zombie/Dummie Apocolypse.

Buy back the "family farm," most of which was sold after my great-grandfather died

Rebuild the house on the portion we still own...termites have caused a lot of damage

Pay off all my brothers' debts

Set up college funds for our kids, my brothers' kids, and all the grandkids...for as far in the future as we can see

Inform my kids that they will have to go right on supporting themselves until I die...don't want no stinking liberals in my family.  :lmao:

Build an underground house, passive solar, wood heat, etc...the goal being to end up with a place that really has no utility bills.  I'll buy several sections and put the house in the middle.  No roads.  Unannounced visitors will not just stroll up to the door.   :-)

Invest half the rest, carefully.  Give away the other half.

That's what I would do too if I still had a job.  They would know if I won, because I wouldn't be there anymore.  Someone else could do the work.  And a big THANK YOU to anyone who wins and quits their job immediately.  That's one job created/saved.  ;)

I'd do the same (if I had a job, that is). I'd feel very guilty about staying on the job when I didn't need the money anymore when someone else out there is probably out of work and could do my job, instead.

Paying off debts - that's a given, and would be the very first thing I did, after the back flip.
