However, a few weeks ago my husband was on his way to work and stopped at a stoplight when a sheriff's deputy pulled up along side him and started blowing his horn at him.  He thought he had done something wrong.  The deputy motioned for him to roll down his passenger window and he did.  The deputy wanted to know where he got his "Stop Global Whining" bumper sticker.  My husband told him and the cop said thanks and drove away.  This was in liberal-land Austin, too!  And that's a true story!

Fortunately most Travis County deputies don't live in 78704!

People around here don't put bumper sticker on their cars, you know when you see one it's likely a tourist.

I'd personally like to see the things banned because of how some people get distracted by them and such. In my honest opinion the only thing that belongs of the rear of a car is the license plate.

Getting mad at one is, however foolish.

What you don't understand, compaq, is that conservatives don't get mad at bumper stickers.  We just make fun of stupid liberals who still have an Obama bumper sticker on their car.  There are fewer of them, though, since we had that very successful government program called Cash for Clunkers.

I still see the occasional obumbler sticker. He still has his diehards who will never get a clue. What I haven't seen at all lately is a BO tee shirt. A couple years ago they were everywhere I went that had his supporters around. I bet it's been a year or more since I last saw one now. Surprising that.
