A Fatwa on Liam Neeson?

Quote
Liam Neeson is the voice of Aslan the Lion in the new 3-D Narnia film, "Voyage of the Dawn Treader." He's got a great voice for the role. Neeson is even from the North of Ireland, the same area from which C.S. Lewis, the beloved Christian author of The Chronicles of Narnia hailed.

But actor Neeson is facing hail of a different kind -- a hail of criticism. That's because of his politically correct comments about Aslan. Neeson told interviewers that Aslan should not be interpreted narrowly and exclusively as an allegory of Jesus Christ. Aslan might also be seen, Neeson said, as representing other religious leaders, such as Mohammed or Buddha.

 :bawl:

I am inconsolable.  Sniffle.

Why, Liam, WHY!!!!!!!!!!

Actors are to be seen and not heard.  Unless you are reading a script!

Just Damn.

Two things.
I'm going to give Liam a bit of slack since he lost his lovely wife Natasha not too long ago.
Also, I am going to forget I ever read this thread.

Every time I read about what some Hollywooder thinks, I wish they would just shut the **** up and go back to looking pretty and reading their scripts.

I am really trying to bleach this from my mind.

Maybe I should watch Rob Roy again.

Beck talked about this on his show last week. He gave copies of the book series to his audience that day.

Every time I read about what some Hollywooder thinks, I wish they would just shut the **** up and go back to looking pretty and reading their scripts.

I'm not even sure if many of them even understand what it is they "think"...but are just parroting what they have heard from someone higher up the totem pole of Hollywood and are trying to ingratiate themselves with the Hollywood "elite".

To me, what is even worse....is that when their "fans" hear them...the fan decides to adopt the same "thoughts".  :thatsright:

Just because I may like an actor's work in a particular movie or tv show, does not mean that I should follow their politica thought, environmental concerns, eating habits, or religious practices.  ::)
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

No kiddin', deb, I think Tom Cruise is still cute as a bedbug but I'd rather pound my head on a cement pylon than convert to Scientology.
My husband said L. Ron Hubbard invented a religion to prove how guillable people can be.  Like we need any more affirmation of that than the DUmpster inmates.
