Biden claims November election was about START

And you thought all those Tea Party rallies and Town Hall protests were about Obamacare, exploding federal spending, earmark corruption, and saddling our children and grand children with a staggering national debt.

Well, let me set you straight on that one. Actually, Vice President Joe Biden did so earlier today on NBC's "Meet the Press," delivering this startling observation for moderator David Gregory:

"The key to turning things around is that having everyone understand the message of that election. We understand that the message is the American public wants us to cooperate -- wants us to work together. That's why if we get the START agreement, we will have -- this lame duck session, since the election -- heard the message and the Republicans will have heard the message: that they want us to reasonably compromise to move the business of the nation forward. As we just did on the economy, with regard to taxes and growth. As, God willing, we're gonna do on national security with regard to START. And I think that is the message of the election."

Yes, he really did say that.

From anyone else, I'd think they were outright lying, with Joe, I think he's just stupid enough to believe this.

He raises 'Not getting it' to an art form.

START is not a purely partisan political issue (On our side; of course all Democrats must support it because their guy is on the hook for it), there are Republicans who support it in isolation from other issues for various reasons.  To paint that support as the dawn of a new bipartisan 'Make it happen' age is something you'd have to be as big an idiot as Joe Biden to believe, though.

Yep that's why we voted for Republicans so we can have the START treaty.  :mental:

This is even crazier than when they said we put more republicans in office so they can work with Obama and pass his agenda.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Hey "Jumping" Joe Biden. Don't try to mock us. In my opinion, this is all that is. It's a mocking.
The START treaty will do nothing to create "NATIONAL SECURITY". It definitely won't make America any safer. We would have to "get rid" of 30% of our nuke stockpile, get rid of submarines and missiles.
How does that help "national security" Joe? Huh Joe? You fool! :bird:
