DREAM Act Goes Down in Flames

"An immigration bill that would blaze a trail to legal status for hundreds of thousands of undocumented students went down in flames in the Senate on Saturday, delivering a critical blow to Democrats and Hispanic activists.

Even though the House approved the DREAM Act last week, the Senate fell five votes short of the 60 needed Saturday to advance the bill past Republican opposition.

President Obama said in a statement it was "incredibly disappointing" that Senate Republicans
 blocked the bill."

Last night I watched a documentary about LEGAL immigrants to the USA.  Going through their personal journeys and the immense effort they put in to becoming a citizen LEGALLY makes it even more apparent that THOSE are the kinds of folks we need to populate our nation, not a bunch of deadbeats who would rather sneak in the country and then sit on their asses demanding a reward for breaking our laws.

You're more than welcome.  I would feel more like celebrating if that poor young man, Border Agent Terry, hadn't been murdered the other day by illegal scum.
Reid probably didn't even acknowledge the crimes committed by all these ****ers he wants to legalize while he was trying to cram this travesty down the throats of Americans, legal Americans, that is.  The damn illegals are all in the street and on the media demonstrating for amnesty; every single one of them should be rounded up and deported back to their home countries, and a bill sent to their country of origin.
Actually, first before anyone gets deported home, in addition to checking their backgrounds for violent crimes, they should be investigated as to what illicit documents they have in their possession.  Stealing social security numbers, birth records and the like is also a crime.

I'm very happy about this. 

One of my kids had her SS# stolen for a bit.  She found out when she applied to college and did the FAFSA for a student loan.  The clerk at the college scolded her for not claiming her job at a company in a town a couple hundred miles away.  Daughter replied that if she could have the crook's wages she would not need the student loan.

Pretty funny that the O blames Republicans for stopping the DREAM Act from passing.  Obviously even a few Dems realized it was an awful idea.

I'm glad your daughter found out some thief had been using her number.  The people who claim illegals just come here to work don't bother to educate themselves as to the major headache it causes the legal citizen to clean up their Social Security record.

My grandson may already be a victim of identity theft, as my son received a letter from the IRS yesterday stating that someone else had used my grandson's social security number to claim a dependent.  He checked with his ex and she didn't claim the child, so either someone transcribed a number incorrectly (hopefully) or they're trying to pull a fast one over on the government.

Identity theft is a whole area associated with illegal immigration that the pro-illegal crowd refuse to talk about.  They like to say that illegal immigration is not hurting anyone in this Country (tell that to the scores of construction workers who have been displaced by illegal labor) but they never talk about the thriving underground business of selling SSN's to illegals who want to have "documentation"

My Christmas wish is that each and every person who feels that illegal aliens have a right to be in this country gets their identity stolen by one of the beloved illegals they feel so strongly for.

My cousin had the same thing happen to him, but the guy was working several states over.  He found out when he was applying for a job.

I wonder what it's going to take for Affirmative Action President Obama and the weak kneed sisters in Congress to figure out we're dead serious about keeping ILLEGALS ALIENS out of the country.

Mind boggling=ascribing to every white child in America the sins of his or her white ancestors because slavery was legal in the USA for the first hundred or so years after its founding.  Making that child PAY, PAY, PAY and pay some more, by virtue of a school system that blames whites for every ill in the world and particularly America, by still shoving them aside so some less qualified minority can attend college and so on into the work force.


BUT THIS DREAM ACT WAS MEANT TO ABSOLVE THE CHILDREN FROM THE SINS OF THE FATHERS (AND MOTHERS).  Suddenly it's aOK that your birth parents broke the law.  Your skin is brown; you get a pass.  Your skin is white; you are responsible for every bad thing that ever happened to a black person even if your ancestors came to America 20 years ago.

I ****ing hate the cognitive dissonance in this country that bleats from the Left wackos.
