The correspondent on DC's WTOP radio nooze referred to her comments on the House floor in regards to the Bush "Tax Plan To Hasten The Massive Transfer Of Wealth" Extension as "blowing off steam" before the House votes to accept the Republican Controlled Senate's version of the bill.

The nooze writer who used the term "blowing off steam" is invited to blow me.

The repubicans clearly control everything. A confident Senate Overlord McConnell warned the House not to change the Senate version, as approved by the White House. This can only mean the repubicans know that, no matter what is technically true, they control everything. No drama. Forward march. In lockstep, please.

Heros like Jackson-Lee have necessarily become more like resistance fighters or insurgents than elected officials.

Sheila Jackson Lee, in competition with only Cynthia McKinney for the title of DUmbest person in the Western Hemisphere, largely bases her legacy on a single remarkable event. During a VIP tour of NASA in Houston, she asked the operator of the robotic Mars rover if he could maneuver the rover into position to see the flag planted by Neil Armstrong. She's a true DUmp heroine.

She got to stand at the floor of the House yesterday and blather for an hour about the late Richard Holbrooke.  The man is dead.  Let him have some dignity for God's sake.

Just seeing her up there was enough to make me go look for an ice pick to stick in my ear.
