You made me CRY.

Something about the beauty of Christian music causes chills, goose bumps and tears to gush forth  .Black Gospel is another tear jerker, not the rousing on your feet music but the slow laments that bring the tears.

I would never survive 15 minutes at the Mormon temple with the full choir singing.

Wow. That was quite something. Beautiful. I wonder how you get that many people to agree to do something like that in such a public place.

Ask them.  Did you see the Random Act of Culture that was done in Macy's in Philly, the day before Halloween?

That was awesome.  I've got it on the "Christmas music" thread in the Lounge.  650 singers.  The Wanamaker Organ--the largest pipe organ in the world (IIRC, 28,000 pipes).

Yeah, it brought tears to my eyes, too.  I ran over the Hallelujah Chorus last night with my mother-in-law.  The tenor lines.  It's tough.  But, after singing it, you feel like you've done something.

Indeed.  I sang first soprano, several years in a row.  I can't hit the notes now, more than 20 years later, but I still feel an accomplishment everytime I hear that song.

I saw a clip of this on the news the other day....but this was the first time I have seen the whole thing.

That was beautiful.  Made my eyes a little misty.

The Hallelujah Chorus is probably one of my favorite pieces of music to listen to this time of year.  If I'm feeling down, it picks me right up.  Thank you so much for posting that, TV Doc.  I loved it.
