Detroit?  No way.  That city was so beautiful and peaceful and so humble.  We were thinking about buying one of those $1 homes that were for sell.  Sure, it needed some (a lot) of TLC, but who wouldn't want to raise their privileged white family there?

Lansing needs to take it over and clean it up.   The majority of it was a disgusting hole when I lived there 20 or so years ago.   I can only imagine what it is like now.

I have several friends (3) that escaped Detroit back in the day~ 1980's, and moved here.  Just because of the winds of change back then.  I have known for years that Detroit was a cesspool.  It just gets worse and worse.  How sad.

My wife mentioned to me tonight that I believe, Dearborn, has the highest population of muslims in the country.

That's Dearborn you're thinking of. It's in the Detroit metro area though. I don't think the 20% they are talking about is anywhere near that area.

There was a significant immigration influx from Lebanon beginning in the early Sixties. Many of 'em wound up in the Dearborn area, as has been mentioned, but they also wormed their way downriver.

I remember my Dad (who was an appliance repairman) who worked downriver. He explained how most of these muzzies operated -

They basically scrimped and saved, living off of barely nothing, then when they had enough to buy a house, they'd pay cash for it. Then they'd whistle up the rest of their family from Muzzieland then they'd come over and the process would start all over again.

You can't go into a gas station or what is called a "party store" (beer, cigarettes, lottery, sometimes liquor, snacks, etc.) without seeing that the place is run by a muzzie - they are pretty much everywhere now.

I haven't been to Dearborn in 30 years and have no intention of ever going again. The place is a complete shithole.

The Governor was correct in not trusting Mayor Carl Officer with the money. City announced today that 19 more police officers will be laid off Jan. 1, leaving a grand total of 43 officers.

Hi,

What is sad, but somewhat funny is this.  I saw a blurb on TV last summer when I was in Illinois where the mayor of East St. Louis was considering mandating that every family in the city must own a gun.  He cited the fact that it actually reduced crime when folks can defend themselves but I suspect the libs muzzled him pretty quickly.

Sad truth is he was spot on.
