It's an inflatable roof. Jeez. It's a good  thing they don't have that kind of trouble with dolls - they'd REALLY be in trouble if that were the case.

Why put an inflatable roof on a stadium that they KNOW will get dumped on with massive amounts of snow?

Yeah, because there's such a big Scandanavian history in Los Angeles...

Seriously, the Vikings have SUCKED since they went to the dome.  Stick their asses outside like they did at the old Met.  If it's good enough for Chicago, Green Bay, New York, and New England, it damned well should be good enough for Minnesota.

Haha. I don't think it makes much sense for them to move to L.A. either. I'm just reporting about many things I've heard. Right now, they're thinking about moving to a couple different stadiums. Including where the Golden Gopher's play, St. Louis' stadium, and Lucas Oil Stadium.

In all actuality, this is a pretty limp story. The football game will be held somewhere else, maybe KC, and we meanwhile have to hear about the Vikings' construction contractors as they line up to get their dose of Viagra. Having to get up on the roof and fix it in this stiff wind is cause for concern.

Well, by looking at the video, any football player at that end of the field would have been hit by tons of snow (deadly).  They said the upper levels of seats were blanketed by the roof, so they might have been hurt/suffocated.   

My sis who lives there just had to go out last night and see her grandson's basketball game.  I warned her that MNDOT said to stay home, but nooooooo, she just had to go.

It was very difficult NOT to say "I told ya" when I talked to her today. 

Northern MN didn't get any of this storm, but we got plenty earlier.  Winter in MN - what ya gonna do - move to Arizona?  Nah!

I saw that on tv tonight! That was scary but awesome...like such a wonder.

It's truly amazing that snow could ever get so thick on a roof to cause it to collapse! Incredible!

I feel sorry for all those in the area...if this happened to the dome, imagine what happened to people's houses. Where's FEMA? I demand my government check lol

I haven't read or heard any reports of the roofs of peoples houses collapsing up in Minnesota. I have friends and family up there.

FEMA is already up there!

I have a friend up there doing "disaster clean-up" from the floods back in the summer(?). He's been up there since first part of October. I talked to his wife (she went up there to stay with him right before Thanksgiving), and she said they expect to be up there until at least the first part of February. Not exactly sure what he is cleaning up - they are in Rochester - but he's a geologist and mainly oversees the hazardous waste removal stuff.
