Undoubtedly, next year will be worse for America and the world than this year is. More people will be poorer, and hungrier, and more ill, and more miserable than this year.

And so this season, when I am inclined to be anxious and afraid and think each week is the worst of all moneywise, I remember that next year is going to be worse so I had better not waste worries and precious energy on how bad things are for my little tribe and for so many others.

I'd better just consider what the squirrels are doing today and take that as a lesson.
bummer.

The grasswire primitive, who lives on a "farmette" up over there in Wisconsin, is an older woman who's found much disappointment and discouragement in life; a sort of slightly-better version of the skidmarked underwear primitive, "Skidmore," the disconsolate farmwife in eastern Iowa.

It's been fascinating, reading the grasswire primitive through the years; she had a nephew who owned a restaurant that stated out well, and did well, but then crashed.

The business was started and prospered from January 20, 2001 until January 3, 2007.

As she's never yet seen the obvious point here, one suspects the grasswire primitive isn't too bright.

Just wait until they find out that payroll deduction, reduction that we get, will make their tax refunds smaller next year.
A caller on Rush brought this up today. The withholding is changed but, not the SS tax rate. So when tax time comes we will owe SS taxes that were not collected. I really believe Obama has set us up with this "compromise". We will just have to wait and see.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

In the dark, hateful, Stalinist world of democrats, this qualifies as an upbeat outlook on life.

(I wonder if DUmmy grasswire is still squatting in that room over the garage of her reluctant Wisconsin benefactor. She was supposed to have moved out by last Spring, but getting rid of a freeloading DUmmy is much easier said than done.)

It's a bad deal all around. It was negotiated between the WH and a small group of RINO's. I bet a lot of conservatives will oppose it because of all the deficit spending and crap. You know, that thing the GOP ran against this year?

There's a bunch of lefty Dems who are starting to come out against it, too.  We may see an example of bipartisanship coming about here, in stopping this thing.  And the Obamessiah will be Teh Wun to make it happen (though not the way he prefers)!

I cannot stand this smoke and mirrors shit.  It shows an utter disregard and outright contempt for the American taxpayer.  A lot of people are extremely intimidated by the tax code, and block any information about it.  It's like people with math anxiety.  So, the Pols can stick it to people and make them smile at the same time.

It was the same for the "Obama Tax Cut" that the office moonbat kept touting.  I kept telling him that it wasn't a cut at all, but a change in the withholding tables, and he would ignore me.  He retired over the summer.

Hey grasswire, if I can get your address, you will find a new safety razor blade and the instructions to your nearest interstate in your mailbox. :whistling:

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Until there is actually a piece of legislation written, it's impossible to say how this is supposed to work, but if it really is just a reduction of withholding with no impact on FICA tax liability, the piper is going to have to be paid at the end of the next tax year for sure.

From the people that think up is down and +=POTATO, we get "cheer up for tomorrow will be worse."

I think this could be a 5th dimensional mole Jedi move.

I'm assuming we have to pass this too, to see what's in it.

True; I'm hearing today that the withholding reduction is due to a temporary rate reduction.  Looks like the House Dem caucus isn't going to let it come to a vote, though.
