Elizabeth Edwards dies

Elizabeth Edwards, the political wife whose public battle with breast cancer, coping with marital infidelity and continued advocacy for the downtrodden raised her profile above that of her husband, died Tuesday, WRAL News has learned. She was 61.

Edwards died at her Chapel Hill home, where family and friends had gathered in recent days after doctors informed her that her cancer had spread and recommended that she not undergo further treatment.

RIP.  That's just sad, based on the reports I heard, I thought she had more time.  I was really hoping she would last through Christmas, for her family.

This is the lady that told the DUmp what awful people they were for mocking Laura Ingraham (if I remember correctly)as she battled cancer.
It shows that politics doesn`t have to change decent people into something else and so is doubly sad.
She had class and character as a person and endured a few last years of life no one deserves.

Many condolences for her children and family.

What is it with shitstain spouses??  My ex almost let me die of an eColi infection back in the summer of 2007.

My condolences to Mrs. Edwards offspring and other family. I hope her husband, John suffers the worst and eventually rots in hell for his infidelity, especially during a time of need.

Elizabeth, you had every right to any bitterness you felt towards your cheating ex and his skanky ho.  I'm so glad you are above the fray now, but sad for your children and other family members.

You were DEFINITELY the better half of your marriage.
If you see my little terrier Dominic, give him a pat on the head for me and tell him I'll be there eventually.

Sorry, it's been a weepy sort of day for me.  December 7th was the 9-11 of its time and it's also my birthday so I feel a bit overwhelmed emotionally.
