Pancake boob

Ok, I go for my baseline mammogram today and I have no idea what to expect except every horror story and legend ever told by other women. So tell me ladies on a scale of 1-10(10 being the worst pain ever and 1 being "i can do this while sipping a Mai Tai") how painful was it?

I hate this waiting. It reminds me of waiting to have my first baby and listening to all the horror stories told by other moms.  :o

Hold my hand..please.  :bawl: :-) I kinda like my boobs...I don't want to think of them feeling all gnarly the rest of the night once this is over. And God forbid the obvious biggest concern. Just hope my baseline ends up being just that...a baseline. (prayers appreciated)

P.S. Don't ask me how I know they do that.

My doctor's tables are vinyl with the crinkly paper underneath ie doesn't hurt to scoot, but it is noisy :-).

I never question your expertise when it comes to women.  :-)

My best friend's wife had to be hospitalized.  The machine malfunctioned and wouldn't stop squeezing.  Her nipple popped off and flew across the room.

I had it done twice. It's not painful. It is a bit unpleasant because of the smoosh factor. You'll be fine. The anticpation and waiting for the results are more uncomfortable than the actual exam.

Thx Dixie and yes, I know I'll be anxious for the results. It is baseline and not diagnostic, but still it is unsettling since they've never been looked at...umm like that.  :-)
