The new American right literally terrifies me   
      

The right in America has made ideals of Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher but neither of those would have actually been successful in the modern right. Margaret Thatcher was one of the first World Leaders to address the issue of climate change and she secured a ban on CFCs. Ronald Reagan introduced the largest increases of taxes in US history.

Built in to the glamorised history of Reganomics was Social Mobility. That has gone. After Bush, the US is now one of the least socially mobile Countries in the World. The ladder was not just greased, it was burned.

The Republican Party are the only main stream political party in the World to deny climate change.

Their use of the most disgraceful anti Islam propaganda in order to win power reminds me of the history of the 1930s in Germany.

Their commitment to do anything to destroy the US in order to make the "President fail" disgusts me. They want to play with the debt limit when they know it will destroy the economy of not just America but the West.

It really does appal me that there are some on the so called American left screaming fascist at the Obama administration and doing everything to undermine it when the right in America have moved to a position that they no longer even believe in elections.

I have never seen politicians as crazy as those elected recently. It is as if America loves ignorance.

Talk me down. Please convince me not to worry about the ignorance of people who are so consumed by the military threat of China that they do not see the economic threat of the BRIC Nations, who are about to overtake the US economy within the next decade.

If anyone can make sense of that rambling bunch of idiocy please enlighten me.
Is coherent and thoughtful progression and then conclusion to ones "arguments" that difficult?

What concerns me about the T-baggers is their new heights of disruptiveness and their

near-violence -- that's the direction that the right wing has to move in and the next step.

Strange thing is that whenever there is real violence it is usually from the left.

The 1986 Act did what most observers thought was impossible: reduce the complexity of the federal tax code. Originally, discussions for reform of the tax code focused on a flat tax system. This system has one tax rate, irrespective of income, and only limited deductions.  However, going directly to a single—rate tax structure was not politically feasible, so a compromise emerged from Congress.

Prior to this reform there were eleven income tax brackets with marginal rates ranging from 11% to 50%.  In addition, the code was filled with a myriad of deductions and shelters which motivated business and individuals to enter into arrangements not on their economic merits, but rather for the tax consequences. With the passage of the Act, the number of brackets was reduced to three with marginal rates of 15%, 28%, and 33%.  In addition, many deductions were eliminated, which reduced many of the economic distortions caused by the previous tax complexity.  The end result was a flatter and simpler tax structure.

What get's me is that they don't even bother to study their own global warming sacred texts.  Quite frankly, they're no better than a illiterate muslim attacking foreigners for no other logical reason than his imam told him that's what the book he can't read tells him to do.

As far as what their sacred texts actually say:
The models, if they were correct, indicated less extreme weather, not the same, and not more.  The only caveat to that would be more droughts, due to a drier climate.  Their predictions were that more heat equals less cloud cover, and less cloud cover equals more heat.  That is the basis of their runaway greenhouse effect.

They could be right, they could be, and probably are, exactly wrong.  The best part is they claim that whatever happens is exactly what they claimed would happen regardless of outcome.  Of course, if the logic of their prophets are correct, the logical thing to do would be to use CFC's.
