I once picked up the rear end of a chevette and sat it back down! Does that count? :-)

I attend Highland Games, but don't participate.  Aside from the drinking beer part.

I've done the Highland Games in Tulsa 3 times and I did Iron Thistle (now defunct, I believe) one year. I got out of training for it in 2005.

Love watching it, but I've got too much aurther-itis (bone spurs) to even think of trying even when I was younger.

Yeah, I was training a lot back then when I was living in Weatherford, OK. If you've ever been there, you'd know that is about all there is to do there. Lifting 3 times a week and 2 days of event training for 3 solid years.

Caber was 16'6" at 105 lbs.

That wasn't done in competition. That was done in training.

Best in comp. was 10:30 at 16'8" at 84 lbs.

The latter caber was Larch pine. I believe that the former was of Ponderosa pine from New Mexico.

ahh ok. That makes more sense.

I made a training caber. Its only 13 feet but I bolted 30 lbs of chain to the top 1.5 feet to make it top heavy/ weighs about 115 lbs. I dont flip it. I just run figure eights and laps with it/ helps me get better control.

Caber is mostly being sound of technique and footwork, as you know.

I am just a shade under 6' and then I was weighing in at 260 to 265 lbs.

I don't know if I could ever physically get back into the shape I was at that time with all the back injuries from car wrecks and back strain from moving a 800 lbs. gun safe I've had since then. I am gonna try to get most of my strength back I lost since this last wreck by May and we'll see how things go from there barring another traumatic event.
