no, the waterboarding outrage was overblown. first of all, years had passed after it's end by the time it was a topic of conversation, but most of all because the whole country agreed with aggressive interrogation when the actual decision was made, and because, other than letting another 3,000 americans be murdered, there wasn't a viable alternative.
there IS an alternative to taking dirty pictures of minors and giving senior citizens anal probes; it's called behavioral profiling, and it has been successfully used to keep israeli airline passengers safe for decades. in fact, it works better than dirty pictures and anal probes.
this administration is just too scared of it's own press coverage to use it.
