are the real silent majority. Believe me, they will vote 2012 and will be game changers. That is why I discount so called right wing mandate. Obama is still a popular president despite the chatter from the twenty four hour cable news channels. They have polls that only reflect the people they want and ignore that silent twenty nine million waiting in the wings......the real game changers.

of mid-term elections. This past mid-term was not extreme in any way, but if you listen to right wing talking heads it was catastrophic.

The Republican led House will guarantee they will come out to vote....
As usual the Repugs/Teabaggers don't know when to hold em. Just a matter of time//

It went beyond a historical trend. Usually in a mid term if power shifts it is by smaller numbers.
We picked up historical numbers in a midterm not seen since the early 20th century.

But,...but,...aren't them dems helping the "young ones"? I mean, they get to go on their mommy and daddy's health insurance till 26 years of age, right?

The DUmmies assume that all 29 million that voted in 2008, but not in 2010 were Dim voters. I highly doubt that. Many states didn't have have important races to drive their voters to the polls. I would bet that a lot of conservatives stayed home in states that are safely red.

It was the third-largest Republican non-presidential landslide in history, surpassed by only 1894 and 1938.

And there was some Democrat strategist shlub on F&F this morning, STILL trotting out the tired comparison of Reagan, and his numbers, in 1982.  It's such a stupid argument, especially when one has watched "The Rise, Fall and Future of Conservatism" the previous night.  You see Reagan make his powerful speeches with truly compelling ideas, (yes I got goosebumps, call me Tweetie).  Let me do a Pittstain:

Except the economy was humming along and the dotcom bubble was doing quite well. We had all of the Peace Dividend and Clinton was nowhere near the ideologue that Obama is. I am not complacent or over confident because there are great evil forces aligned against us. I do think the situation is very, very different.
