I did El Paso to Texarkana in one sitting once. That was a pretty long day.

It was part of a Santa Cruz CA to NW Vermont trip. Made that trip twice, first time through the Texas panhandle, second time the long way across Texas.

El Paso to Denison is just over 12 hours for me. Looks like El Paso to Texarkana is another hour and a half more. That's about half of what I used to do all in one drive.

I live somewhere in the Arctic tundra. Maybe you see me perching on top of trees or sleep in the snow. It's far away.  :-)

Nope--at least nobody that I didn't already know/meet before I joined CC.
Yeah, Sparky had the great privilege of meeting me before...

Trees?  On the tundra?  Are you sure you're a ptarmigan?

Yeah. The Library was great. His office, blew me away.
The drive home... well,
I stopped off in Goshen to see this girl I knew. We didn't date we just "hooked up" now and then. After I beat on the door for a few minutes, an angry Mexican guy came to the door and explained they had sold the house a couple of months before.
Got home, googled her name, first thing that came up was her obituary.
Not amused...

Have any of you members ever met another member in real life from here in the Cave?

Lamb, have you noticed how I got spanked for high jacking a thread.???

Your thread now is talking about food in San Antonio or hamburgers in Nebraska.

YUP-O it is frustrating to start from here to find you are somewhere else.

I myself know personally 2 members in the Cave, we fight and kick and scratch, give each other insults.

No big problem for us, when we do meet in public they do not try to strangle me and I controll my knee jerk reaction.

Have met Chris for dinner, Tnafbrat has been over to stay for a couple of long weekends, have met a few from usmilnet, and talked on the phone, several times with Thor, Eupher and Kevin.

It appears that I'm headed to Southern California for the Rose Bowl.  Not sure of my exact schedule yet, but would enjoy meeting any of you who are lucky/unlucky enough to reside in that area.

That f*ckin figures....I'm spending NYE in Chicago with my mom, otherwise I'd be more than happy to have you over to my Heavy Metal Vomit Fest, Ralph!!!

But then again, most people who meet me either end up in the drunk tank, on the business end of a felony indictment, or both. But oh, what stories they have to tell the kids!!!!!

It looks like I will, unfortunately, be working. If you are down in Orange county Sunday or Monday afternoon. I could come out and play.

Heavy Metal Vomit Fest
:rocker: You should trademark that.  It would make Lolapalooza look like a little girl's tea party.
