"I consider myself liberal, someone who thinks government should step in when we can't take care of ourselves," said Mr. Barry, a lifelong advocate of the needy. "But this [welfare] program may be adding to the disintegration of the family." ...

:agree:  But then again, Barry's rather checkered past makes his credibility somewhat of an issue.

Maybe he learned a few things while in jail. I hope so - the really bizarre thing is that he is still somewhat of a celebrity in DC - but then again, we established a long time ago that DC is essentially a shithole that hasn't been flushed yet.

Why should she get up and feed her kids when the school system will do it for "FREE".....there's that magic word again.
