Isn't there (possibly?) a kernal of truth to them?

The fact is, even noted and universally respected Democrat Daniel Patrick Moynihan predicted OVER 40 YEARS AGO that the Welfare policies of the 1960s may result in an astronomical rate of out-of-wedlock births within the Black Community.

And, let's face it, Moynihan was right.

As for how I feel about West's remarks... Jesus, I don't pretend to have the answers. Wish I did. I am a Progressive, after all, and a proud one. And so my first instinct -- usually -- is to just go with what feels right or ethical in the moment and not worry too much about long-term repercussions. Or to say, "Hey, I'm a White Man and therefore have a LOT to answer for, so whatever the Black Community says they need to offset 400 years of white oppression, let's give it to them."

That's how I typically feel.

But it is hard to ignore those terrible statistics. So Jesus Christ, I am ****ing stymied.

Aren't you?

 I would certainly hope that AA leaders push back against that spin...

Clearly, they are so far out in front of the language, that all Dems can do now is defend....

Dems chose to let that happen, but unfortunately, the ones who pay the price for that are those of us with nothing.

What I learned about this DUmmie from his post.

1.  He got a girl knocked up at one point in his life.

2.  He got fired or not hired for a job due to Affirmative Action.

3.  He can't get a decent job now because he can't pass a piss test.

4.  The girl he knocked up at some point in his life has sicked the family court system on him for back child support. (see 2 & 3 for indications of why he's behind).

5. He can't find a decent place to live with his minimum wage job because of #'s 2-4.

 The material resources of the United States should belong to ALL the citizens on the United States, not to a small number of connected individuals! The management of our food, minerals, manucaturing, energy, healtyh, transportation, and other essential goods and services should be accountable to the whole of the United States, and not to stockholders and boards of directors!
