Reservoir Dogs

Are you a semi-fan of Terrantino? It is one of his better ones. Not better than Pulp Fiction to me, but it is good.

Never saw those THANKFULLY!!

Have you ever seen Glengarry Glen Ross????? HORRIBLE! It as so many greats in it, I bought it without hearing a word about it. Al Pacino, Ed Harris, Jack Lemmon, Alec Baldwin, Kevin Spacey (MY FAVE), Alan Arkin..... TERRIBLE!! But everyone I talk to that has seen it has loved it. It must be me.

it isn't that they were bad, and I couldn't watch them.  it's that they hooked me, and I couldn't stop watching them.  and afterwards, they bothered me a good bit.  those two movies are seriously forked up.

Casablanca
Casablanca is over rated, IMO.  I like the one where he owns a boat and smuggles some diplomat the Nazis are searching for into some country.

I can't stand Tarrantino.  He's such a self-absorbed jackass.  Awful dialogue... terrible.

It was good. It wasn't excellent, but it is worth seeing. I am not a fan of DiCaprio, but he is talented, and I enjoyed seeing the genius of Howard Hughes (even though he was crazy).

cape fear is Terrantino's revenge for not getting the oscar a few years before.  it takes every cheap shot at the audience possible.  things explode.  doors slam.  close ups happen as those big noises happen.  tand then, this clearly bad guy gets too close to this clearly innocent girl.

the guy is a sadist.  you don't have to look any further than pulp fiction to realize that.

I read an 'unofficial' biography of Hughes right before that movie came out in the theaters.  Just seeing the commercials for it was a huge disappointment.

That is a good one. I can name several that were loved by many that I hated hated hated. Nepoleon Dynamite??? WTF?

I watched that waiting for the funny moments only to find it was the stupidest damn movie ever made.

They were excellent, it was the story. And I have a friend who is an actor. He isn't known by anyone except me and his mom  :-), but he says its an actors movie/play. Whatever. I didn't get it. I still love the actors in it though. Most of them.

He's definitely not right in the head. OR if he is then I am not. I haven't seen any of the Kill Bill movies. But I enjoyed Reservoir Dogs. I like Buscemi a lot, and I liked him in that movie. Harvey Keitel and Buscemi play crazy people pretty well.

I think he is talented, but there is something about him that pisses me off. Not sure what it is. I don't want to see his movies, but when I do, I mostly enjoy them.

Buscemi was okay in the Big Lebowski.  Fargo?  Not so much.

That is definitely one of those overrated films that I didn't get. I watched it, and I honestly don't remember one thing about it. I was stone cold sober, so I didn't forget because of that. It was just um-memorable for me. I forgot he was even in it.

Fargo that is.

Which one?  Fargo?  If you didn't get the Big Lebowski, you should be forced to spend an intimate weekend with Michael Moore.

It was definitely one of those movies that conveyed a 'feeling' more than an actual storyline.  I thought Napoleon Dynamite was the same way.  Aside from the final part of the movie culminating in the talent show, there wasn't much else to it.

I couldn't even tell you the story line of Fargo. I remember it being in a cold place (North Dakota maybe) and Frances McDormand. Maybe some murdering. That is it.

That was a pretty good movie.  Probably one where DiCaprio lived up to his true potential as a retard.  Everything else was downhill from there.

Fargo didn't do it for me either.  I've only seen The Big L. once and thought it was good but I don't get the cult around that movie.  I think Raising Arizona is still one of the best Cohen Bros. movies.

Isn't Cape Fear Scorsese?  Regardless, I like the original better.

As for DiCaprio, I thought Shutter Island was the sequel to Titanic, like Titanic meets Jaccobs Ladder.

I wish I could say I had never seen Titanic but I finally saw it in the last year when TCM showed it.
