Truck crashes into Longview grocery store
« on: November 05, 2010, 03:44:17 PM »
Quote
LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Just before 10:00 this morning, a man driving a pick-up truck pulled into the Skinner's Grocery and Market parking lot at Dellwood and H. G. Mosley, in Longview.

As he was pulling up to the front doors, he mistakenly hit the accelerator, smashing through the front doors and lobby of the store.  He then, backed out of the building and hit another vehicle.

Disoriented, he hit the gas again, went back into the building, striking an ATM, before backing out again and hitting a delivery truck.

I have that problem. I haz BIG FEETS!! For some stupid reason, I'll hit the accelerator & the brake at the same time. They are too close together any more. I need to find a decent late 60s/ early 70s vehicle........

I can remember the early 70's and 60's cars. There was like 4-6 inches between the brake and gas pedals.

Yep, at least....... I don't think there's 4 " between my gas pedal & brake. With a 13 EEE foot, I have to be careful.....

Ever try to drive one of those foriegn sports cars of the 50's/60's... the ones with teaspoons for the foot controls? They sure weren't made for us big footed Americans.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin
